Title: New Hunting Buddy
Post by: AR RidgeRunner on March 19, 2014, 05:20:00 PM
Got to spend the day with my grandson and future best huntin buddy last Saturday. Course Papa had to take him to Cabelas. Here's a pic of him in a ground blind. Gotta get him ready for his first turkey season in a couple years, he  just turned 2 last October. Already thinking about building him a little longbow soon. Hard to beat a grandpa day!

Like they say... If I had known how much fun grandkids would be I would have had them first!

While not cherishing growing older, I do love to be with the four that call me Pappy.

Nothing better than family...

That is a great way to spend your day Kent.  I got to watch my grandson last night. I will start his bow as soon as I know if he is a righty or lefty . Your grandson looks like he is having fun.

No grand kids for me, thank GOD!  Daughter is almost 14:)  No better way to spend a day than with kids who love the outdoors.  Heck, in some states hes probably legal to pull the trigger:(

Good deal.  "Hunt with your kids so you don't have to go hunting for your kids"

Thanks guys. You're right Ryan, family and being close to your family really is a blessing. I always heard how great it was to have a grandchild and it's even more fun than I imagined!

That is great to see. I know how proud you are that he is interested in being with you.

My grandson just turned 2 in February. I sure hope he grows to embrace archery and will enjoy doing it with Poppa. After all, when he grows into them, He already has 7 bows ready.
