I was happy to get home Monday and find my new bow had been delivered. It is 56" with an eleven inch riser. Fifty four lbs at twenty eight inches.
I got it dialed in today and I am very impressed.

Jake
Beautiful bow and some fine shootin!
Fantastic looking bow! I'm a huge fan of Kent and his Timberghost bows! Will have my own story very soon. Congratulations!
Yeah buddy!!!! :clapper:
Beautiful Bow!
Looks fantastic that is one on my list I want to try ,have a centaur on the way it should be here by Monday .
Love the woods. Ive never shot one. Try as I might, I cant get used to the looks of the riser. Seems a little blocky. How does it balance?? Looks like the mass would be beneficial. Groups look great!
Great looking bow. Kent builds a great bow. I got to shoot one at Bear Quest 7. I believe it was Kent's bow that he built for himself. It was a great feeling little bow. When I first saw a photo of one, I did'nt think I liked the looks of the riser either, however in person they are very nice. They are much smaller than they appear in photos, and they feel reeealy nice!
great looking bow, is it cocobolo?
Cool looking bow. Nice shooting also.
Do the static recurve limbs and longbow limbs interchange on the same riser?
I'm pretty sure that they do, but I'll ask Kent when I see him later today. :bigsmyl:

Picking yours up?
Yep. :D it's a one piece "Smoke" model that I have a pretty good story about detailing Kent's outstanding customer service. I'll be posting it in the next couple of days.
In the meantime, glenbo, that is a gorgeous bow!
Kent builds a beautiful bow and to top it off he's a great guy. I had the good fortune to spend a week in bear camp with him last spring. As Ed "Bruinman" Guthro said, Kent had a few of his creations in bear camp. I shoot in the 50 pound range with my 30" draw so I didn't shoot any of the bows he had in camp. They were in the 60 plus pound range at my draw. Everyone that did was astonished by how smooth, fast and silent they were.
:archer2:
It is Cocobolo and phenolic. As far as being blocky, it is anything but. Sleek and slender in the hand. I have always wanted a 3piece longbow for travel . This bow suits my needs.
I am used to shooting slower bows so this one shoots very flat for me. Dead in the hand at release and quiet with a pair of hush puppies. Kent has been a pleasure to deal with, but I expect that from T G sponsors.
Any pics of the limb tips?
No pics Keith but they are flawless.
Love the looks of yours, can't wait to get mine. Thought I would be ok with an actionwood riser, but after seeing yours.....I'm a sucker for cocobolo. Great looking bow, congrats.
Glen That bow is stunning! It looks as if the two of you are getting a long nicely!
It will take me a while to get used to you shooting something so different from what I usually see you with :readit: ;)
Real nice bud, that is a beauty.
Great shooting and congrats on the new bow!
I agree with what others have posted, when I first saw pictures of Kent's takedowns I thought they where big and blocky and didn't really like the looks of them.
Then I saw one in person and WOW, I couldn't believe how great they look in person but there looks are nothing compared to how good they shoot and feel.
Glenbo that is as pretty a bow as I've seen, congrats.
Just a quick update for those who are curious. Kent does indeed use the same riser for both the longbow limbs and the static recurve limbs. Now, to save up the money and get a takedown to go with my smoke! Timberghost bows are awesome!
When I get one I'll be getting both limbs for sure! Great looking bow BTW....I'm more than envious,,, jealous for sure!
i can attest to the riser not being blocky. great looking wood combos
I'm on the list and those pictures are not helping.
That thing is gorgeous!
Congrats
Congratulations Glen. Fine looking bow, and typical shooting for you.
That bow is awesome, nicest I've seen in a while.
Cool....never figured you for that kind of thing. Just goes to show that your a fella with an open mind and good taste. Enjoy!!

Very, VERY, nice!

great looking bow. Love the wood. Just got an email from Kent to finalize my Timberghost. He is starting on mine soon.
Really beautiful bow, congratulations...
Its a beauty Glen, good luck with it!!
Thanks Glen
Glad you like your bow. Looks like it's shooting great for you.
I stopped by Glen's house yesterday to see the new stick....it's beautiful, and he's shooting it very well :clapper:
