I just wanted to say thank you to Abe Penner for his generous donation he made to the Manitoba Records Banquet. Abe donated $1000 towards the purchase of a new Caribow.

Darren Shipp posted about it so I mailed some money to take a chance. I have never met Darren in person or talked to him other than email. Well, I got a call last night from him saying that his daughter drew my card, a King of Clubs, and Abe was sitting right next to him. WOW!! I won!!

So now the next step...picking out all the options. His bows are gorgeous and it will not be easy. But I look forward to the Challenge. And Im sure Darren can help:)

THANK YOU Abe! And THANK YOU Darren for being so honest. You could have kept the card and I wouldnt have known. You and your family are a credit to TRAD GANG!

Congrats Keith, Im so happy you won. I would have been more happy if I won.....lol ! And thanks for supporting the Manitoba Bowhunters Records Club. Also a Big thank you to Abe and Tina. They are big supporters of ours.The evening went very well for us. A great evening shared with some great families and friends. And as always, lots of kids involved in the evenings events.

Thanks guys. Im still undecided. I have a decked out Silver Fox. And a decked out Slynx. Both courtesy of Danny trading his leftovers:) LOL! So whatever I decide will have all the options for sure. With Darrens help it will be beautiful. Darren has the best collection of Caribows in the world....well at least my world I have seen.

Not to take anything away from Keith here..but... I would like to know how much Darren has spent on tickets over all the years Abe has been doing this for the MBRC??? I almost guarantee he could buy a bow or 2 with it!!

I do know that Darren came back and placed cards on the table in front of his wife with names on it,she was to keep track of them. I did see Keith's name on a few. He never relieved his cards.
Darren is a big supporter of things he believes in.

I usually buy 6 to 8 cards at $20 a pop. One Day I AM going to win !! .....lol

Ive spent to much money this week. Booked a Caribou hunt yesterday for the first week of September. Looks like I will have to put my guide boots back on for spring bear to pay for these hunting habits.
