I've called this bow my boomerang bow many times. I've sold it a few times to friends who wanted to get into traditional archery. Every time, they got to needing the money and I bought it back.
The last time it left my possession, I loaned it to a "friend" (so I thought). I heard through the grapevine that he had a bad addiction problem. I went to get my bow back and it was gone. I hit every pawn shop in town with no luck. Just by happenstance, I ran into an old friend the other day who I haven't saw in years. We got to shooting the bull and it turned out that he had my bow.
I went and picked it up this evening. The pos friend sold it to him for $15. I paid him back what he had in it. It has a few nicks that it didn't have before...the brace height is outa whack...and the silencers I had on the string are gone. But she is back on the rack where she belongs.
It will not leave my house again unless it goes to the woods with me.
While I'm thinking about strings...who can build me a nice, narrow (nocks on GT traditional) B-50 string? I like 3Rivers but they are too fat. I don't want to alter my nocks because they work great on my FF strings.
Hope my Thunderstick III that walked out of my F150 about 8-9 years ago does the same thing. You have a good feeling I now.
Congrats on finding your old friend!
1969 TigerCats are very cool.
