I really hate to spend the money for shafts only to find out that are the incorrect spine. I am looking for a couple of test shafts. Cedar or Sitka in 50-55# or 55-60#. Must be over 29" long. I prefer 30".
I am in the area of northern York County, PA
Any traditional wood shaft guys in the area?
I bought a test shaft bundle, 8 shafts fletched, nocked, and pointed. They served me well and were well worth the money spent. Plus, you can keep them for future testing with new bows or to help tune in new broadheads or any other change in equipment you might go through.
Sadly, the shipping is probably more than a couple of arrows....
if your not dead set on cedar or sitka, doug fir is an AWESOME arrow wood. jmho. ;)

i build my own arrows from stock, so i have 3-4 test shafts in 40-45# through 110-115# spine. I shoot a wide range of bow styles from yew ELB to center cut recurves and i have a 30.25" draw and love HEAVY FOC so i had a hard time finding spines heavy enough to fly right.
Shafts for recurve or longbow and what weight at your actual draw length.
Recurve. 28 1/2" draw 44#
