It all started when I bought a couple Easton FMJ's to try out of my Hoyt Buffalo. I got them to bare shaft perfectly. They are like laser beams out of the Buffalo. Then it happened! I had this huge itch to go back to basics. I went out and got myself a used Robertson longbow and ordered up some Douglas Fir shafts. That Buffalo has been hanging on a hook in the basement ever since and I am actually concidering selling it to fund a new Hill or Northern Mist bow.

The basics were put back there for a reason! Go for it.
Just spent an hour going through a set of PO Cedars. Patched up a few gouges with some plastic wood. Gave them all a coat of wipe on poly. Weighed them and marked the weights so I can match them in sets of 3.
There is something about a well shot wood arrow.
