I've been knocking around getting this very practical outfit. It has both a shorter bladed leather handled fixed blade with a longer one. They come in one sheath. Any of you guys own one and what do you think?
I dont own one, but I have considered buying one. My dad and I started collecting case knives several years ago, we currently own over 200 case knives. Case makes extraordinary knives, I currently hunt with the buffalo horn hunter by case, and i love it. I would say you couldnt go wrong buying the leather handle double set.
It's a nice set.
At the moment, it's probably my #1 knife that I carry in the woods. They're time tested. My dad bought one for my grandfather back in 1950, that my brother now carries when he hunts.
The top set.

Very nice blades Sean B!!
Thanks Warden,
Vesty, they're easy to sharpen and hold a great edge. You won't be disappointed.
Does Case still offer the combo? That looks like a good set of knives for the pack.
Bretto
They do, it's called the Case Twin Finn SS, you can get it for between $105-$120, depending on where buy it from. I paid about $70 brand new on the big auction site about 10 years ago.
heres a pic of the buffalo horn hunter. The handle is made from actual buffalo horn. I will probably just buy one of the double sets, i cant stand it missing from the collection.
