Updated- If you ever get the opportunity to try/buy a Thunderstick mag equipped with an SBD string I highly suggest it. These are one of the sweetest shooting bows I have ever had the pleasure of shooting. It amazes me how quick, quiet, and dead in the hand they are....incredible!!
The weather finally came around today and just after finishing breakfast and a couple cups of coffee watching walleye fishing on tv, it was time to get ready to split some wood! As I was getting ready, the wife said the mailman was coming up the drive and had a long box in his car! Woohoo, looks like my new Thunderstick Mag might be getting delivered today. When he approached and I checked the label, my suspicions were confirmed. Looks like that wood splitting will have to wait :goldtooth:

A few quick indoor photos to send to my brother and make him drool!! (http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r603/DonEggleston/20140308_115758_resized.jpg) (http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r603/DonEggleston/20140308_115043_resized.jpg)
And some outside photos to really show some of the colors! Jim did a fantastic job with the beavertail grip and the moose antler tips. The cocobolo veneers are from South Cox. Bocote riser and cocobolo/bocote/osage overlays. 60" 49# at 28". Very nice shooting bow that's easy on the eyes! Enjoy. Bill
Beautiful bow. I had to do a double take on the return address, as that's only about ten miles south of me. Congrats on the bow.
That's a beaut! Look forward to that laying on the side of something later!
WOW... Very nice!!!
Nice....!
I had the same problem today. Lots of projects to do but the mailman dropped off a new SBD string for my new Toelke. Spent most of the day tuning and shooting! Lol
Great stick now back to splitting! :biglaugh:
ooooo, that's purty!
Dude I need to check that one out up close and take a few shots with it also. Very nice cocobolo limbs on that. I need another Tstick for sure.
Absolutely gorgeous!
How does the Mag compare to the MOAB?
Thanks for the compliments guys!
John- I have always preferred the Mag to the Moab, better feel of the grip and smoothness of draw. I am not sure if Jim tweeked the design but my 1st Mag does seem smoother than this one and the limb tips look narrower on my first one. I got my first Mag around 02'.
Bryan- Yes you do need to shoot it. Lets get together sometime soon and shoot buddy.
Beautiful bow!
Very nice. :archer:
Those are some stellar pictures!
Very nice!!
Beautiful bow...
Took the new bow to the range today...This thing rocks! Smokes an arrow, super quiet and dead in the hand. Gotta love a mag strung with an SBD string- great combination! Jim did a fantastic job on this bow- very pleased!
Beautiful bow, I shot a Jim Renoylds longbow at Kzoo this year that was in the used bow section. I should have bought it Im a recurve guy but that little bow was a rocket and I really liked how it shot. Been in the back of my mind since then.
Beautiful Bow!
Like Jim's bows, as well. Had a TSIII that walked out of my truck years ago, replaced with a MOAB. Sweet shooting bows for sure.
Dang! Makes me want to order another Thunderstick!
I have a 58" Thunderstick Mag, 53lbs@26", with a 8 strand SBD string. This thing will smoke an arrow and is super quiet doing it. Cant go wrong with any of Jims bows.
I really like the T mag....
Wish I had a ram horn back I sold.....
What was the wait for custom order?
Beautiful bow! Congrats!
I have 2 of Jim's longbows that I have been using as bow fishing bows. Both are about 12 or 13 years old. Every year since the day he made them they have seen 100 plus days a year in some of the worst conditions and aside from some dings and scratches they are as good as the day I ordered them.
Super durable bows. Super shooters. Super affordable. A combination or traits in a bow don't get any better!
Mitch- It was right at 6 months. Not a bad wait. LB hntr, you are correct in the fact they are durable. I ordered my first Mag around 2002 and it has been put through the paces and still going strong!
Nice one! Love my little 56" Tmag. Had it forever and it's still going strong. It's my dedicated blind/turkey bow.
I had a 58" mag, the only bow I truly regret selling
