Just wondering what Fletching Jig do you use. I have a couple old Jigs. There is a bunch out there to choose from, and I don't need to buy junk. Just want you opinion. Thanks
Get a Bitzenburg!
Hello Kent. Have you tried doing a search for that topic. You will find quite a bit of discussion. A lot of good stuff. Just make sure you ONLY search one or two forums at a time!! Try Pow Wow and work from there.
Good luck
Here are a couple.

Jo-Jan!!!!!!!!!!!!
I use a Whiffen Archery jig
I have 2 JoJan Multifletchers. I can fletch a dozen arrows in 2hrs with 3-fletch.
Bisch
Bitz for lots of years
Bitz......end of discussion for me.
Bitzenberger. :archer:
I also have a Jo-Jan (LW & RW clamps) and it gets the job done but doesn't have the flexibility of the Bitz.
If money's no object, buy the Bitzenberger. If it is, the Bohning Pro Class is basically just a slightly less adjustable red nylon version of the Bitz that works quite well (IMO) for about 1/3 the cost.
None. Eyeball and tie on-it's not too hard to do two fletch.
Bitzenburger. If I'm in a hurry, fletch tape or Goat Tuff super glue.
FWIW, I've tried lots of other jigs. Got rid of all but the Bitz.
Bitzenburg. He was the first president of our local Archery Range club, the Pasadena Roving Archers.
Bitz
BPE Pro Fletcher had always been my favorite. Don't know if they are still around or not but they are supposedly more adjustable than the bitz. I love mine.
I have a BPE and a Bitz and like them both. I'd say you can't go wrong with either. The BPE was a little less expensive but seems to work just fine for me with lots of versatility.
Bearpaw multiple fletching jig for 6 shafts.
Bitz
I owned bitzenbergers and now use jo jan multi fletchers and they work great for me, Ive made hundreds of arrows on them over the years
I use a Jo Jan multi and a Bearpaw
Almost feel like a heretic, but Bohning for me.
Another Bitz user here!
Bitz
I have used a JoJan for years and last year I decided to try the Bitzenburg. They are both nice fletchers but I prefer the Bitzenburg.
bitz
Bear paw
I have had Blitz and JoJan, liked the JoJan. However I use all the time and prefer Vador.
Bitz here.
I have 2 jo-jan multifletch but recently picked up 2 Arizona ez fletchs
home made one .
Bitz
I have a Bohning Pro. It works for me...
Bitz all the way.
Bohning

LarryDawg
I have two Bitz jigs that are about 30 years old and still going strong.
I have a Bitz, and its probably the best out there, but I also have 2 JoJan multifletchers, and like Bisch, they are all I use anymore to fletch up my arrows, and if it aint broke, I wont fix it.
Tony
BPE
BPE
Started with a Bitz. Maybe there are better jigs, but I saw no reason to change. It has worked well for me.
I have a bohning and recently acquired a BPE. How you like the BPE old Bucky? Haven't used it yet...
Bitz for 35 years
dhermon85,I like the BPE very well, never used the Bitz.
Sam
I am been using the Bitz for more than 30 years ,now I own 3 to make arrows a little faster.
Bitz
JoJan
I bought my first jig over thirty years ago from a shop that was going out of business. It was a Bitz with a left wing helical clamp that to the best knowledge of the shop owner at least thirty years old then.
That makes my first Bitz over sixty years old and it works as well now as it did then. I bought a second Bitz a few years ago, it is probably more precise and I don't need to change the nock receiver to go from three to four fletch.
Oddly enough I always use the old one.
Bitz. By using fletch tape I can do a dozen arrows in under an hour and that is fine by me.

Another long time Bitzenberger user. If you're fletching a lot of arrows in a hurry, the JoJan multi is tough to beat, but I prefer ole 'tried N true' places each feather on the shaft exactly as it did the last one, and will do the next one. Cleans up easily, and have yet to hear of a Bitz wearing out. :D
Bohning jig works great. I'm fletching arrows right now!

I use only Bitzenburger jigs in my shop. They work flawlessly and will for years. They do wear out if you do a lot of fletching but for the hobbyist they will last a lifetime. I fletch several thousand dozen arrows a year and my current table is six years old and doing fine. I do expect to start replacing clamps and indexers within the next five or six years as they become worn.
This one I built to replace a table that was pushing 20 years old as well as I could figure. They are one fine tool.

I have a BPE. I tried a JoJan with left helical clamps. It worked fine but it put a lot of twist , more then the BPE. I tried to adjust it to put less on but then the base of the feather didn't sit properly. Both jigs work fine. I'd go with the JoJan if you like a lot of twist though.
I own a Bitz, but use Mike and Sue's JoJan.
