I've been shooting a new set-up and wanted your thoughts. I'm shooting RH, 55# Lynx. Arrows are 31", 2216 with a 145 grain tip and 5" feathers (572 total arrow weight). I shoot two under. With this set-up, the arrows fly great at 20 yards.
Recently, I replaced the tip with a 200 gr. field tip and noticed my arrows hitting left at 20 yards (about 4-6 inches). Fletched arrows hitting left. What does this mean? Too weak? Thanks for your opinions and advice.
I would think a right-handed shooter hitting to the left would indicate too stiff. That just doesn't jive with them shooting well with a lighter point. Have you tried shooting them together - a couple with a 145 gr tip and some with 200's?
It could be something has changed with your release and the 145 gr will hit even farther to the left.
Bladepeek, has the best approach. That will tell you where to look.
For me shooting left was a torque issue. If its possible have someone stand behind you at full draw with a arrow nocked, and verify the arrow isn't being bent before release.
Good advice by Bladepeek. I don't change point weight much, so when I hit left it is a technical (me) issue.
Thanks for the tips, guys.
