This place is always so generous.
I would like to thank Curt and Glenbo for getting me a 45#er I could shoot with my teeth, and the gentleman that sent me the tabs off his new boots that were PERFECT for shooting with my teeth during my recovery.
I shot my 1st 10 NORMAL shots just a few moments ago and all seems well. I've already been pulling my 60#er to full draw with no issues, but not releasing. I felt it was time to drop the string today but to be smart and stay light.
The arrows were stiff and threw them left a bit from the red oak leaf I was aiming at, but I was so thrilled at the consistency of the group at 15 yards.
I've got a ways to go, and will see what tomorrow brings as far as any pain issues, but the group I shot today didn't make me feel like "I'm back"....it felt more like "I never left".
I could not be happier. I do have some lighter spined arrows that would probably shoot where I look, I just didn't want to take the time to dig them out as they are in a case somewhere that I didn't feel like fooling with. But I will get them out tomorrow and the red oak leaf will be in real danger ;)
Many thanks again guys for helping me out. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
Hope to chase a pig sometime soon. :campfire:

It's good to hear you are progressing so nicely. By hunting season you ought to be back in the groove, so we will expect many pics.
Glad you are feeling better. Hoping you continue to find your mark!
Great News Terry. Glen and Curt are good peeps!
:shaka:
Glad to hear. :wavey:
Terry,
When something is taken away we appreciate it soooo much more when we can get back to it. Absence makes the heart grow fonder!
Your release is better with your teeth than mine with my fingers. So Sad!
Welcome Back Terry, Just take it slow and easy. Been too much snow and cold here to shoot much.
Take care,
slow and easy big fella... you'll be back and better than ever.
Great news !!!
Bill
Best of luck with your recovery Terry. A few years back I had some rotator cuff surgery that shut me down. I remember wondering if I would ever be able to shoot again. After some months passed I picked up a 25 lb bow and got to full draw. I was so relieved and knew at that point recovery was on its way. Take it slow and ease back to old form. Best wishes

Its hunting season all year here in GA....for hogs. So hopefully I wont have to wait too much longer, just gotta find a weekend.
Thanks for the comments guys.....much appreciated.
Everything seems fine this AM....but will probably wait till tomorrow just to make sure.
Keep it up Terry, and you will be back to normal in no time! Just don't overdo it now that you are shooting again.
Good luck,
Bisch

Don't need the cornerstone laboring.
From your current position, the view must be most promising.Hopefully, a complete recovery resides just over the horizon.

Many thanks guys...my regular bows are pulling fine...have been for weeks...going to start releasing he string on them this weekend and see how it goes.
I just gotta get in the woods soon. Cohutta is calling...maybe I'll get lucky and run into some hogs, ....but at least I'll be there and shoot a few stumps.
:wavey:
Terry,
I Think now that you are healing up pretty good Physically, a trip to Cohutta will heal you up pretty good upstairs. (not that you need it)
Medicine for the soul. Good luck on the mountain porkers. Your turkey season must be fast approaching? I'm sure RC will let us know as soon as it does :readit:
Hey Tarz .... best wishes for your full recovery. I can't imagine Terry Green not being able to shoot a bow. That's like Spiderman not being able to shoot a web. I look forward to some hunting stories and hero pics from you soon ... :campfire:
