the best description I can come up with is a fanny pack. What I am looking for is something that I can use to carry archery supplies (nocks, extra sting, first-aid kit) you get the picture. I would also like to have my side quiver be able to go on... Can you guys help me out??
just let me know the name and where to get it
Thanks
Bison Gear Lost River.
I use an army surplus web belt, fanny pack without the suspenders, and a 1 qt canteen. Not very light, but works ok.
You need a "Man purse" Haversack,Possibles bag,or a satchell...Look at the ones the Asbells have listed cause that's what I use but Manly colors...
Safai Tuff, it has a pocket that will hold all that I need for hunting.
QuoteYou need a "Man purse" Haversack, possible bag, or a satchel...
I have a friend that has said that to me. I just don't know if I can get past the purse part...
Upper left is my large fanny pack, then my smaller one for quick trips.

I use a military haversack (Swedish) carried on the opposite side as my side quiver.
Me on the right.

It has belt loops so it stays tucked up tight when I crawl around in the brush.
Do a search for "maxpedition gearslinger" different sizes and camo...Tom.
I have used a shoulder style bag for years. I like them better than day packs. I have a couple I bought years ago at wally world, though I have not seen them since. Made by fieldline. One I keep stored for hunting. The other I use year round for hiking and scouting. Finally ripped one of the strap connections after 5 years of hard use. Going to see if I can repair it. If not starting a search for another.
Asbell haver sacks. Tons of space in a small package.
Quiet too
I have used a Mad-Dog fanny pack for years. Works very well for me.
I have a few fanny packs that I use every time I go hunting to carry supplies
German Ridge (If I recall the name correctly), if it is still around, made a man purse with attached side quiver a few years back. I thought it looked right nice. I never actually acquired one, but I have seen several around.

Look up Ribz gear. I carry water, binos, compass, camera, GPS, tabs, arm guards, energy bars. The pack rides up front so everything is at hand, yet youcan sit walk and shoot with it on. I use a sidevquiver at it is still easy.
Also, you can carry a. Large pack for serious backpacking, yet have all your possibles with you, even if take off the big pack for a stalk
I have found a haversack of the type sold by Asbell to carry everything I need very conveniently. Also, I have a Filson shell bag that works well but does not hold quite as much as the haversack. Many times, I don't carry any bag at all as my hunting vest and pockets hold just about all I need for a day trip.
I have some questions about a haversack... Do I have to worry about things poking through it?
Go to the associate sponsors and check out ken bueche's stuff. He makes some haversack and quiver combos that are mind blowing!
I have an Asbel haversack that I use for hunts close to home or the truck. Very handy, comfortable, and "manly". LOL
I've not had any trouble with gear poking through the wool, but don't carry any real pointy stuff in it.
I've tried fanny packs in the past and was never comfortable with them. Then it dawned on me that you have to actually have a fanny in order to use a fanny pack. Mine just kept slipping down. :scared: Now I use a day pack altho I can see where a haversack would be a good choice for those using a back quiver.

Summit Equipment leg pack. If you can find one. You'd have to buy one used, or get ahold of Tim Shannon, the guy who made them. As I understand, he has a large inventory of them, but isn't currently marketing them.
Very high quality packs, offers 2 medium-sized removable pockets attached to a waist belt. I think a guy could easily adapt one to carry a hip quiver on one side.

Here's another pic... I modified mine so that a Catquiver can be used with it.
