What types of accouterments, add ons, modifications, or other things have you done to your bow? Or any cool gear associated. I am in the mood to go crazy on one I just got.
Nothing says it like pictures ;)
painted it !
ChuckC
The only thing the 3 bows I use to hunt with get is a Kwik-Lok arrow holder. Outside of that nothing.
I put a leather tip protector on the bottom tip of my new Morninstar, added a few drops of bunny blood and bought a leather bow sock. I am just waiting now get way fancy and put some turkey blood on it.
String wind detector, Wooly Whispers, Sta jac arrow holder, bow quiver of my own design and red/black or black/white strings.
I put a Tight Spot quiver, amo bushings, and sometimes a sight on my A&H. I also made a modification and drilled a hole in the shelf to use homemade replaceable brush rests like you would find on a Lone Wolf bow.
Mine are all plain Janes.
Antler limb bolts and a beaver tail grip wrap.
Actually i haven't done too much to my hunting bow except quiver bushings, and arrow holder, and a stabilized bushing i can screw in a Hog Light to my bow for nocturnal adventures...
But i've done a few things to other guys bows....
How about a caped buffalo carving? or a Black Mamba? Does that count?

Thats awesome, Kirk
Rubber grip and Kwik Loc on each of my bows. I have a cheap longbow I put camo tape on.
Lower limb tip protector and I'm good-to-go!
I have a Kwik-Loc arrow holder on mine, a Kanati Pro quiver, a pink and black semi-skinny D10 string, and my own homemade wool silencers installed.
Would love to have copperhead or diamondback skins on the back and maybe a checkered grip.
I attach a tricked out 60-year old too mine.

Good one, Roy.
Predator Hunter: 1/2 of a rubber tip protector - just over the very top, bear weather rest- fuzzy Velcro on the shelf, old school WWII camo bow socks(homemade), Fred Bear quiver , tape on rubber arrow holder from the 70s .
Bow looks very G Fred old school. My concept of Trad goes back to the mid 70s. This bow looks like the first recurve I srtarted with back in '75. Compounds came in to fashion shortly after.
I have a 1965 Collector grade Bear Polar...I tricked mine out by adding (13) .45cal lead balls suspended in silicone behind the sight window cover plate....I'll be shooting it at the TBOF 2014 State Championship this weekend...

Interesting, and reversible.
Everything I do is reversible. Cut bases off deer antlers[small] and put miniature stone arrowheads in epoxy on top. Attatch with sticky Velcro. Hangs on well but can be removed without marring the finish. Also cut and buff a small piece of exotic wood-carve the bows name into the wood , then Velcro.
Names--Black Widow PSA -Widow claw[has bobcat claw in epoxy on antler base]
Black Widow PSAV- Olneya tesota
and so on. "Make it yours" Roy
Orion, can we see a picture of your bow quiver that is of your own design please.
MAY THE SPIRIT OF FRED BEAR GUIDE OUR ARROWS.
I liked that too Roy! I also always like your saying, If your mind wanders so to will your arrow. My mind wanders quite often.
I'm not very fancy with my bows. Use a tip protecter on the lower limb and have used the Kwik Look arrow holder for close to 40 yrs.
Great northern quiver, stayjac arrow holder ,beaver balls, rubber grip ,rubber tip protector, diggle balls and curve feelers.
oops I ment curb feelers.
Wool or fur string silencers. And I like ot add a one arrow bow "quiver" to my whitetail hunting bows.

As H.D. Thoreau said: "Simplify, simplify"
DIY leather grip and tip protector
Tuned the string/silencers/shelf material
Changed the Velcro shelf lining for sealskin when it needed changed
Put a few surface scratches in it hunting
out of curiosity, what are the .45 cal balls for? to add weight and mass or what is the purpose of them?

Yes...and not only to add mass to the riser but also...I took great care in spacing so that the balls were truly "suspended" in the silicone...and that did more to dampen the vibes of this bow than the broadband limbsavers did...it's awesome....I love it...you couldn't pay me $100 to take them back out.
Accesorised my Wyandotte back-quiver, with fur&beads.

Too pretty, can't bring myself to do anything to it, the skins came with the LB.
P.S. just remembered, I did put seal skin on it for the rest.

Does anyone have a slick way to attach a flashlight or something like that to a 1 piece or 2 piece bow?
I cover my GN bow quiver hood with gray felt. Looks sweet with my gray/red Harvest Master.
I dunno if I'd call it tricked out, but I put bronze knobs and okeetee corn snake skins on this one.

Kirk, the black mamba is pretty sweet!

What he said.
I only tried once, and it kinda back fired on me. When I ordered my Wesley Special, I requested gloss black glass. At extra cost, I also ordered Cape Buffalo horn knock tips. The only problem is that the horn is gloss black and does not even show up any different from the black glass.
Beaver fur string silencers. Imbedded a medallion in the riser of my cheetah blank. Would like to do some snake skins some time! That's about as trick as it gets for me.
A dab of red nail polish on my floss nocking point.
Taped a 5 inch piece of orange fly tyers thread to the back of my upper limb. Watch it constantly to keep tabs on the wind.
I added 1 Brass nock....

I don't have a slick way, but I purchased a gadget attachment from Big Jim. I was using a Mini Mag Flashlight with an adaptor on the back end. I recently got a Hawg Light from a buddy, it's way cool but I have not been able to try it out. If I ever get another bow built I will have a stabilizer insert added just for the light.
As far as my bows... Well I love beaver tail grips and snake skin backing. Not all of them have both but they have at least one or the other.
My Journeyman is the most tricked out. She has Copperhead skin backing, stippled grip and antler limb bolts. The best part is she shoots as well as she looks
My St Jude's back quiver from Bud gets more compliments than any piece of archery equipment that I have ever owned. Best part is she came with Mojo built in :)
Other than a rubber lower limb tip protected that's about it, Oh yeah, I try to get the first scratch from me so I don't feel too bad when the rest come,
Stripped down and rebuilt the grip on my Bama Hunter. It felt tiny and square initally. Bulked it up with strips of innertube and sewed on a new leather grip. Other than that put half a pack of rubber silencers on, and will soon be drilling and installing a riser insert for bowfishing reels.
On my Ragim Fox I put a leather grip on, put a leather tip protector on, put coon fur silencers on, and did a camo paint job. Also gonna put an insert in for bowfishing.
