Folks, it has come to this, I must choose between my archery business or my "real" job.
For about 3 years, I have spent almost every hour not at my real job in the shop or packaging stuff to ship.
I have loved working with bowyers to get them the best wood and supplies I can .
I will be closing the first of March , I will finish all business I have started as of right now, but will be taking no more on.
After getting organized a bit, I will begin selling off the stock in the shop.
It has been great, but I gotta slow down a little and smell the coffee.
Possibly when I retire from the other job, I can resume business if you will have me, but right now there just isn't enough of me to do both.
Thank you very much for your business and support. I've enjoyed it more than you will ever know.
Thanks!!
kenny
You deserve a break. I know your skills will be missed though. Glad to hear your taking some Kenny time.
Been there done that.
You are making the right choice my friend.
You will now get to enjoy archery again!
Your reputation will hold strong for when and if you choose to start up again.
I'm sure you're making the right choice Kenny. When you're done building bridges I'm sure you can get back to building bows.

Enjoy yourself Kenny, life is to short.
Good luck to you Kenny!
Often times hobbies which have become business, consume one's time so completely that the passionate flame is extinguished.
Seek the passage which leads to the greater realization of contentment. The wind will blow into your face as the years pass you by.
Listen to the enduring call that beckons.
Perhaps, it is the call of your heart.
I don't see how you have done a full time job and your archery business both as long as you have! It has to be exhausting! I only build three or four a year tops and don't even grind my own lams and sometimes it seems like I don't have any me time.
I look at it this way-if you weren't such an honest man who treats everyone as if they were his most important customer you wouldn't have this problem! I've enjoyed every transaction with you and you always answered all my dumb questions without making me feel like they were dumb questions! Thanks Kenny and God bless you and your family! Mike
 The woods from a tree stand smells much better than coffee any day, maybe you'll find more time for woods smells Kenny.
Enjoy your new found time Kenny! Thanks for helping everyone out over the years.

Its very hard to do both, I did it for 15 years before I got to the point that one had to go. I chose the other and left a job that I had for 28 years. Now after 2 1/2 years full time in the archery business I am still so busy that I don't know how I did it all those years before, so I know where you are at Kenny. Its all good and you will have time to enjoy making one for yourself and hunting again!
See ya around I hope,
Mike
Good luck Kenny M, life is short take some time to enjoy it .... Kenny G
Best of luck to you KennyM!
Well it sounds like you have chosen "Life"... And no-one can blame you for that... Work to live, as apposed to live to work is a good motto to always have in mind... You have made the right choice
Alex

Thanks folks for the support! There just isn't enough time in the day to do it all and live too!
I'll still be here to help folks when I can, just not in the shop so much.

Thanks guys for understanding. When your plate is too full , you gotta do something. Think I've been there for about 3 years.
T, that would be cool, but will be a while before things settle down!! :)
Wow, I just came in from spraying my first glass bow (KennyM's design) and read the news. I am so thankful that I got to work with you before you had to make this decision. Your kindness and willingness to help newbies like me, ansewering all my calls, txt, and emails without hesitation has been inspiring. Your legacy will go on thru all those you have helped and thru the bows you've put in our hands! And I bet we haven't seen the last of you!!! Thanks Kenny and God Bless!!!!!!
Good luck to you sir!
Thanks again all!
And ttt for anyone who missed this.
Sorry I gotta quit the biz but just not enough time in a day for everything I have on my plate!
Thanks again,
kenny
Damn, I was wondering what was up....Enjoy your time my friend!
Thanks for the great service you provided and now go enjoy all that free time!!
Steve
I know how it is to choose from what you like to do and what you must. I have an archery shop at home and was wanting to go bigger. But my real job is what pays the bills. I trust my real job more than what I would like to do because I've been at it for 35+ years. My real job is taking its toll on me. Good luck getting back to what makes you happy.
I am a little slow getting on here, but I want to say thanks to Kenny for all the help you have given me over the last 3 years, when I got into this hobby. Your longbow design is the best I have ever seen and everyone who shoots the three I built loves them. Thanks for sharing that design with me. Sometime, I will have to ask you how you grind your superlams. Maybe I can learn to do it so I can still build some more.
Also, I have built about 2 dozen 65" recurves with the lams you made for me and they have always been superb in quality and you have given such great service.
Mostly, I appreciate your willingness to give advice to me, a new-comer, as I learned and grew into a bowyer.
I hope that you have more time to shoot, hunt, enjoy life, and spend time with loved-ones. You deserve it for sure.
I missed this one! Now I know why I couldn't find your site today :D
Best of luck Kenny, I feel your pain!
Best to you Kenny ! I always said work wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take up so much time . I thank you for getting me started on the right path . You're making the right decision ,
Be well , Fred
It happens! I'm sure you could use a break. Best of luck to ya!
