so my wife tells me, hey i think i want to shoot one of your trad bows you built. well, no time to waste, kids are in bed, lets do this! we go down, i give a few pointers and she glares at me. "i've been listening to you for years about form and how to shoot, let me do it." lol. ok. she was a compound shooter(with glove) but hasn't shot in over 2 years. i'm impressed. we were 10 paces from the target and she managed to keep the arrows rather close on each end. she is really liking the looks of the binghams recurve(alternative riser) so i may just get to build one soon. this bow is a hill style 43@28, she draws to 24". materials supplied by kennym.

:clapper: Nice shootin'!
Just goes to show, ya gotta be careful...you never know when they're actually listening...and they might just be able to out shoot ya!! :archer2:
Wow, what a start! She is a natural.
A beauty with a bow! Awesome, you are a lucky man!
Humans never cease to amaze me with the variety of natural talents that many of us possess. You are lucky to have a spouse to share a hobby with.
:scared:
Nice job - and congratulations to you both on having the bug in common!
She shoots well.
Very nice shootin!!! Congrats to u both
I think you are right, she is a natural!
Good shooting!
Bisch
very cool!
Boy it's nice when your Wife shoots with you, congratulations.
Nice shootin!
Your shooting buddies are going to be saying, What did you have to bring her with for?
Some people are just naturals!
I have been bow hunting and canoe tripping with the same woman for over forty years. When she was a South Dakota farm girl, the last thing she ever thought that she would ever do is box bear in the nose that wanted our food or drag a deer she killed across a river in the dark, but she would not have any other way. Take your wife hunting with you.

What i want to know is how many holes you have in your garage door behind that target. :biglaugh:
I don't see any holes in the door. The fastest recurve that I ever saw was Bingham kit bow. The fellow just thought he would like to try trad archery and to save money bought a Bingham blank. It shot nice and it was much faster than my Bear takedown. You got work to do.
:clapper:
nope no holes in garage door. yet. she has decided she definitely wants the bingham style alternative riser with purple camo for her "first". now, since i was checking out Rosewood archery's lamwoods, she wants a tulipwood back, olive ash belly with maybe walnut riser for her "second". lotsa fun work for me in the future.
figure since i'm gonna build a press for hers, i might as well build myself a recurve while i'm at it.
hide the guns that girl is deadly
