have a newly aquired widow PLV 55@28 drawn just a little over 27 so probably 52lbs or a little better, i want to shoot a 175 grain head and be around 10gpp, I have never shot a carbon arrow. And my arrow pile is all for heavier bows and is all woodies and aluminum, im having a hard time getting a aluminum to tune out right without weighing 12gpp which is ok but i would rather be around 10 or so..im open to trying carbons if i can get the arrow weight right...
any suggestions ??? thanks Dave
I'll bet a GT3555 at around 29" or just a tad shorter will tune up just fine with 175 up front.
To get up to say 500-520 gr. arrow you may want to try a 55/75 with 50 gr. insert and 175 gr. head will put you closer to the weight range you are looking for.Start full length and trim and tune for your bow.BW PLV are cut to center unless you order it different.
I'm running 29 1/2" CE250 with 20 gr insert with 175 heads... They fly great for me, although my draw is a tad over 28". Overall weight of 550gr.
Good luck!

what jry309 said. Gold tip blems make a nice arrow.
Another arrow to consider with that head weight is the arrow dynamics traditional light shaft. I have yet to find any shaft that in more forgiving of point weight or more durable than my regular traditional arrow dynamics.

Times two :)
most of my recurves 52-55@28(27 inch draw) seem to like 3555 29 inch, 2 inch footing 2117, 50grn insert 175-200 fld tips
