Title: Forgewoods and old Bears
Post by: Bjorn on September 16, 2007, 08:39:00 PM
A couple of years ago a friend gave me some Forgewoods from the Oregon era. Recently I decided with his OK, that they needed to come out and play. So I sanded off the old feathers and finish and dipped them and fletched them up anew.
Next month I plan to show them to some hogs if luck is with me. The shafting is so skinny and dense I thought they might sink in the dip tube!

Anyone want to guess at the bow?

The pic does not quite do justice to the clear glass and Maple veneers-that is a hint by the way.............

That set up looks like good medicine. Love those old heavy thin Forgewoods. Kudos for taking them afield as the maker meant them to be.
