I got a new arrow master And am looking for a new day pack I've been looking at different low profile backpacks and also some fanny packs with shoulder straps.
I tried it with my sons school (low profile back pack) and it felt pretty good it helped hold the quive more verticle at my side. but put the AM strap a little close to my neck.
I tried it with a fanny pack from cabelas but I did not like the the way the pack sagged on my butt. I have a catquiver 6.5 I need to take the mini off and try that. But I'll probably give that to my son.
So what pack have you tried and what did you wind up using?
Thanks
Tim.
If you search "maxpedition packs" you'll see some with some nice vertical sides. I use the Sitka model. Tom.
I haven't tried it yet, but plan to get a Bison Gear Scout Haversack to go with my Arrowmaster. The haversack style hangs on the off side of the AM, so should work OK.
Heard very good reports on the BG Haversack.
When I hunt I use a fanny pack with my Arrowmaster. If I am carrying it with my daypack (MEC Spirit 30L) I just use the compression straps to hold the quiver to the pack.
When I am using a backpack I strap the quiver to the side of the pack and do not use the strap on the quiver. I never use a fanny pack.
I used my KUIU 3000and this year. Just hooked the strap to a buckle of tge KUIU. Worked prett y good. Gonna tweek it some for this year.
what are you doing?
I have used an arrowmaster for 3-4 years with this pack...http://www.rockymountainpacks.com/coyote-hunting-fanny-pack/ ... and love it for all day elk hunting.
Most people think the back is too small...most people have not tried it :-) I even have converted two of my buddies to try it an they love it. The pack holds a ton - well more than you need. The top of the pack I can strap coats on. The arrow master holds some stuff.
I clip the top of the pack on the middle piece an the bottom on the belt with clips.
And there isn't a perfect pack...try this one and you will love it for many things!
The main thing is the pack stays out of the way when I shoot as the arrow master does.
You Can Adapt A Lot Of Packs By Looking Outside The Dots. I Usually Attach The Quiver Over My Arm And NotThe Neck By Securing It To The Pack, Using Little CaRabiners Or Zip Ties.

I hunted a week for pigs using a Dawgware side quiver and my favorite Mountainsmith fanny/lumbar pack. I have used this pack for 20+ years now and while hunt a hunter specific pack it is as good as it gets.
I used a Badlands Diablo with a Safari-Tuff, no real issues.
Ron,
Do you strap the AM to your diablo or do you use the shoulder strap?
Got the Bison Haversack to go with mine works great-
I use mine with a Bison Gear Lost River.
I use mine with my old pack Idaho pack, closest Bison Gear Pack would be the First Trip Explorer, works great!
I wouldn't mind trying a bison lost river. But I just can't justify the heafty price tag.
