At the Montana Traditional Bowhunters annual Banquet I got a chance to handle the Wolfer bow, made by Dick Robertson, WOW this bow fits my hand like a dream, I didn't get to shoot it but hopefully I get a chance, this bow has me thinking and that might be trouble.
I'm not a recurve guy, but I'm sure thinking about a Wolfer hard. Dick says he's more proud of the Wolfer design than any other. This coming from the guy who's builds the best bows out there. Also, it's a 2-piece and I've got a huge weakness for 2-piece bows.
The wolfer I have has the best grip of any bow I've ever had. It also a lot of mass for a small riser section which gives it a very solid and stable feel and great balance.Very smooth draw as well and quick.A great bow.
I am on the list, looking forward to getting it!
If I were to every purchase a "small" riser recurve this is the one. I watched the video on Robertson's site. Looks like a great bow and this bowyer is a serious bowhunter.
All my bows are larger mass recurves.
I have one, fellas, that i must liquidate. #2 of 70. Drop me a line if interested.
whats the poundage
Sent you a PM, Howler.
Dick said on the video, he was just going to build them with the best wood he had.
I believe Dick will build them to your desired poundage, within limits, but with the wood of his choice, unless his policy has changed.
