Greetings all,
In my quest to go back to basics, I bought an old Colt Targetsman bow, 68" 43#, a beauty. From my reserach, this was done by Wing Archery, beuatiful Rosewood.
I tried a 64"string, but that seemed too flat, only giving me about 6.5 inches of brace height. Anyone has any idea what the right size would be? as for arrows, would 1916s do the trick?
Any information you might have on this bow is much appreciated. I have not been able to find much on line.
Cheers,
ZuluEcho

I would call Black Dog Outfitters here in michigan. Phone #(616)866-4666 Ask for Tom Hackbart.

I would measure the bow string nock to string nock following the curve of the limbs on the belly side and subtract 4" from that measurement.

Did you try putting more twists in the string to bring the brace height up?
