Been wanting to try some of their shafting with my Widow longbow and conversed with Steve(who is very helpful & nice to talk too!) Placed an order Jan.27th, and received two dozen of the finest arrow shafts I've ever had six days later!(They are in Oregon, I'm in Florida.) Folks, I can't say enough about the quality of what they produced. Mine are tapered, ready to stain and finish. About as precisely matched as any type of wood shafts I've ever used, with literally no straightening needed!
It's great to find folks still making quality products in this country at a fair price and they are what they say they will be. I'll post later when I've got 'em ready to shoot and follow up with how good they shoot. THANK's SUREWOOD FOLKS!!! :clapper:

Always love to hear great things about small businesses!
Thanks!

I buy mine straight and taper the last 12" myself (put WAY more than $6 worth of time and weffort in but I like doing it) and I have nothing but praise for the straightness and grain strength of Surewoods.

Always a pleasure doing business with people that take pride in their product and sell it at a reasonable price. My hat it off to Surewood and will continue to buy their quality shafting. Thank you Steve and everyone at SW for keeping quality #1.

Indeed! I placed an order to them for their test kit last week, and got it in 2 days, and I live in Orange, Virginia.
I placed the order Wednesday and received the shafts Friday! I was amazed, not only that but as you stated the shafts were great quality, with very little grain run off, and as straight as can be. After finding the right arrow/weight combo I just placed another order for a dozen of the same spine arrow, I am getting them cut and nock/point tapers and asked to keep the mass (weight) within the same range as the shaft which flew with my setup. I am eager to get them in!

Over the past several months I've been slowly but surely purchasing the tools and materials I will need to begin making my own arrows. All that remains to be bought is feathers and shafting. And given all the good things I've heard about Surewood Shafts over the years, you can bet that's where I'll be making my first purchase of shafting material.

Yep, Surewood is the best

Want to bring this back up top so others can see what everyone says about a truly good product and vendor we have here. Thanks again Surewood folks!

Thanks for all the good words. As long as we can find good logs that produce good shafts we will make them. Even the best wood doesn't produce all "premium" or "hunter" grade arrows, we have to grade a lot out. After all the grading we accumulate what I call "utilities grade". We don't advertise these, but if any one does archery for Scouts, 4-H, or Church groups and needs cheap shafts get a hold of me.
