Wait, I'm not done yet...........LOL
There's more!
My Diamondbacks on a customer's longbow, don't remember which one he is, but he can step up and tell you all that he had his bow skinned by me.

I'm sure that when Ben get's his bows back in his hands he will do a better pictorial than I can. I have a crappy camera and an even crappier write up. LOL
I just skin bows, and run CNC machines. LOL
I love my skin jobs, hate my everyday job, but it pays the rent and I have insurance, so whatta ya gonna do? Faget about it! LOL

Not real sure? Including my own bows and limbs, longbows, takedowns, for customers I'd say around 20 maybe?
Thank You All for the great replies and comments. I honestly think that I've found my calling. It brings out my creative qualities and I'm good at it. That's the surprising part, until I skinned my first bow, I really did not know that I had it in me. Now, it's like second nature. I absolutely enjoy my time on the bench working on a bow, that's when I'm in my "Zone" no better feeling when you hit those skins with a coat of finish and they just "POP" right in your face!
I can't get any better feeling than seeing those skins jump out when they get their first coat of finish. It's a Zen thing I guess?
Anybody can contact me if they wish, my email is open and you can always message me through TG.
Thanks Guys, I really appreciate your kind comments. :notworthy: :campfire:

Oh Lord no! Please do not do that. Talk about fake garbage, you would be the laughing stock of the 3d shoot with those. LOL
Let a professional take care of it the right way and you won't ever be disappointed, you might even increase the value of your bow in the process? I've seen snake skinned bows sell for $200 bucks more than the actual value.
I've already called dibs on the A&H with the moccasin skins for the customer I'm working on now. I absolutely love that bow. If he ever decides to sell it, I want it.

Bud, you have a gift. In the future if I need a bow skinned I know who i will be callin. Keep having fun.
-
Awsome Chris would love to have my bow skinned give me an PM for info about your work thanks :bigsmyl:  Darryl

That is such a classic pic of Missouri. Farm ponds and ceder trees out the back porch. I grew up there.

That is freaking beautiful!! How does it hold up in the weather in hunting conditions?? I've never seen one at 3d shoots nor do I know anyone that has one done. Don't lay it down and walk away from it, ya mite not find it! Lol.
-
So what kind of finish do you put over your skins to keep em looking good & make em last? i haven't had such good luck with the few I've done. :(
-
very nice.
-
snake skin on long bows. awesome!

Oh man you are making it tough on me. I have been eying up various skinned bows and sure do think they look sharp. Yours looks fantastic. Now to just figure out a way to glass over fur? Lol
-
Thanks again guys, really appreciate the kind comments! :knothead:

Hey guys, lot's of PM's and Questions, just want to clarify a few things.
If your bow has black glass, then a black colored snake pattern will look nice such as a water moccasin. If you have a brown colored glass, then a brown pattern snake skin will look nice such as a copperhead, or brown water snake, ect.
It's all about the background that you have to work with. Hope that makes sense?
I wish I could offer you all with snake skins to chose from, but evidently I don't have the funds to support that part of my trade? I've checked with some "Dealers" and they won't part with their skins unless I buy at least $500 bucks worth of skins, and I just cannot afford that. Thanks PH,
Chris

Basically, as it is now...........If you can provide your own skins, I'll do the work and you won't be disappointed. If anybody finds a deal on a bunch of skins let me know.
