Here are a few pics from this January. (http://i.imgur.com/lr4qBKK.jpg) (http://i.imgur.com/NpapyQD.jpg)  This is the one that got away.  At one point I was 80 yds. from this guy. (http://i.imgur.com/7RGPYuy.jpg)  This is the one I was able to stalk and kill.

I have successfully hunted whitetails, mulies and blacktails.  The Coues has to be the prettiest-altho a blacktail with the black face is close.  I sa some when javelina hunting about 28 years ago-on my bucket list since

I hunted AZ for coues earlier this month.  Had a blast saw several deer but came home with a tag.  Hopefully I will be back in August or September to try again.  I hunted just north of Willcox.

I think what I will do with my next thread is try to show the shear variety of terrain these little guys call home.

Just got in from a camping trip in Coues country. This is what I saw the most of...  (http://i886.photobucket.com/albums/ac67/peastes/P1030523_zps47a628e4.jpg) (http://s886.photobucket.com/user/peastes/media/P1030523_zps47a628e4.jpg.html)
But, I was lucky enough to see this guy. I think he is pretty good for a Coues. They are little bitty guys, and ghostly in their environs. They would be fun to hunt.

Pat:  Those are great pics.  You will have to look for that buck bow in hand.

I love the pics!  Arizona has some beautiful country.  Take lots of water though.
