Unbelievable.
Our vacation picking at work is done like the NFL draft, a pick of a week, one per round based on seniority. Now elk are my passion, and I was able to get the first 25 days of September off.
I know how lucky I am, but I was actually counting on all that.
I was NOT counting on also being able to nab a two week vacation in early November for deer hunting, but ol and behold look what fell Into my lap!! I am beyond jazzed right now...

Thats awesome, congratulations.. we kinda do the same thing, im lucky enough to have the first pick and got 3 weeks in November off.. its funny out of about 10 guys our calander is pretty void untill september then someone is off every week into december... most of us hunt..
Good deal
That sounds like a great schedule. I'm low man in my department seniority-wise with 36 years, but fortunately, only two of us are bowhunters. Great news for you. though. Congratulations!
Man that is something else. I feel lucky when I get to take two weeks off in a row. One time I took three weeks off to travel to S. Africa and when I came back to work my desk chair was gone and there was a toilet in it's place, you can guess where I was for the next two weeks.
Congradulations. I did alright this coming year too... got 4 weeks off in a row in bow season. Now I just have to endure the remainder of the 12 month stretch without any time off.
Same here. You can forget sept-jan at my job, but since i have seniority ive got half of september off as well. I cant wait to get after the elk.
