I had an epiphany yesterday when reading Irish poet Samuel Beckett's poem. "Ever tried? Ever failed? No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better"
Life is like instinctive archery. You only can shoot one arrow at a time and we rarely ever put it perfectly in the bullseye. We fail. But we try again and try to do better. We fail again but we try again. We fail better.
The Lord this morning put one more arrow in my quiver. I will try to hit the exact center of the target, in my marriage, as a Grandfather, as a coworker, with strangers.

Thanks for that. That's a great way to think of it every time we are blessed with another day. God giving us "one more arrow in my quiver". To do better than we did the day before.

Fantistic, thank you

What a great way to look at everything.

Yes excellent concept, we didn't turn to traditional archery for success, but rather for the journey. Although with practice and vigilance success does come. Jesus died for all our failures, and no one continues to be a failure with him. Remember Jesus created traditional archery, that bow you carry belongs to him! Psalms 24:1-2. And some day he will take it all back.
