Just ordered another Whip from Dan. I asked what he thought his nicest, current wood was. He thought it was some Burl Bubinga. Never seen any but I'm putting my trust in him.
So, it will be a 62" HS, Honduran Rosewood riser with Burl Bubinga limbs and sheep horn tips. Can't wait to see it!
If anyone has any burl bubinga pics, I'd love to see them!

Drool...

One of these days I'm gona order a bow and have him completely surprise me with wood choices.

Seth,
I'm not sure if the veneer is this link is representative of the species as a whole, but it looks very nice to me.

Also, if Dan said it looks good, it WILL look good. They put together some very nice wood combos!

Thanks Elkchaser! That looks great! Dan said he did one bow with it and he was a little envious. That's good enough for me.

Congrats Seth! That veneer almost looks like leather! That 64" Whip is one sweet bow. Perfect length and can really get an arrow down range while being stealthy about it. The ultra narrow limb profile on these models amazes me every time I look at them, a true blend of beauty and function. Be sure to post pictures.

Check Abes Caribow site and link to his Facebook page for some nice bubinga photos. Congrats on your new bow.

sounds like a beaut.

Thanks guys! I've found some pictures of highly figured Bubinga and they're gorgeous!
It'll make a great partner to my current Cocobolo and Myrtle Whip.
Anxious to see/feel the difference between this one at 62" and my 64". Dan said he uses a shorter riser to allow for a longer working limb.
Said I should have no problem with my 29.5" draw length.

Ain't it fun...I just received a new Chinook from Dan and Jared. 56" & 45#@ 28". Zirocote riser with beautifully figured Myrtle veneers. A real beauty any shooter. I'm sure your new Whip will best the same. Best of luck with it.

Seth,
Let me know when it is finished, I could go pick it up for you and put a few hundred arrows thru it just to make sure it shoots ok before you waste your time with it :bigsmyl:
Sounds like it will be sweet for sure!

Classic Whip or Standard Whip?
I can't make up my mind which one to order????

Standard Whip. I've not shot a classic yet.
