Title: Look for us at Kalamazoo
Post by: Ron LaClair on January 20, 2014, 03:48:00 PM
I've had several people call and ask if I was coming to the Expo this weekend. The answer is yes, I've been to every one since the first one. The Shrew booth will be in the same spot on the corner near the bow tryout area at the front of the building. We'll have some bows for tryout, Shrew Steel, knives and hawks plus other good stuff for sale.

The boys from Northwoods Outfitters will be hanging out at the booth on Saturday. They'll have a couple of their new "Hidden Hunter" blinds for you to check out, the new 5.5' and the 6' in Predator gray and green camo patterns.

See you there

Ron,
It's a good thing we've got real cold weather and snow coming this week down here in Troll Land (that's all of Michigan that falls under the Mackinac Bridge on the MI map for you out of staters).  Those Yoopers will feel right at home.     ;)

Ron, it looks like another good year for the Expo. Here in NC it's going to be in the teens at night for awhile. Gosh, it may end up being warmer there. Good luck at the show. I want to make it there one year. It sounds like the Meca of traditional archery and bowhunting.

See you all Friday.

Steve, yes, I didn't want to put a scare into anyone about blizzards and such.  I just wanted the Yoopers to know they feel right at home with the chill.     ;)

It was a balmy -5 on the dial this morning heading in to work.

Oh well Steve-So much for the no snow. Winter storm warnings start at 1am Fri and go through 7 am Saturday. Storm is predicted to produce near blizzard conditions. Every body be careful out there!

Ron

I didn't see you in the pics. Are you napping in the hidden hunter?.    :clapper:

What a great event and it's folks like you that keep this going...

I sure am glad they don't have these type of shows here in Florida - I'd be trouble after just visiting one or two booths.   :D

Ron,
Will there be an area to try out your throwing axes?
Just kidding. Wish I was there.

This time, the weather guys lowballed the storm. We got hammered around Grand Rapids. If you're headed down today, leave early, go slow and have a full tank of gas and blankets in the vehicle in case you get stuck in a closed x-way situation.
