What are you guys thoughts on bow quivers that mount in the standard mounting holes (where sights would be mounted)?
What is a quiet quiver that mounts in that configuration. What has been your experience?
I know that a Kwikee Kwiver mounts there. Any other ones?
Ones in the past that worked well for you?
There are not too many that mount to the sight inserts that I know of. 3Rivers shows the kwikee, a Tight Spot and the Lynx.
I have used the Kwikee before and it worked fine.I like the little 3 arrow one and also the larger one they call the Combo that has two sets of grippers for the arrow shaft.
I have seen folks cover the hood in leather and make a nice looking quiver.
I've never used one myself, but I know a couple guys that swear by the Alpine quiver with the two rods in the rubber mount. I'm not positive, but I think it's called softlock? It seems quiet whenever I shoot with the guys that use them.

Bohning chameleon is what i used to use. It was a great and quiet quiver. It's on my wheel bow now.
Check out the Kanati quivers. I've got a limb bold mounting model and it is a really nice unit. I think they have side mounts available.

I've been shooting with a Tight Spot for several years and find it to be superior to the other amo bushing quivers. It is by far the most adjustable quiver available.
This one is offered by EW Bateman. It looks like the old Martin/Sagitaruis Quivers. What do yall think?

How many arrows do you guys carry in a bow quiver? 3, 4, 5, 6, more?
PSE sold one that is a quick detach, and is an excellent quiver. They may have actually been a Sagitarius. I used one for a long time on my Mamba, and still have 3. My personal opinion is they are far superior to Kwikee. I would sell one cheap. Email me if you want a pic. They hold 8 arrows.
German Ridge makes a good one also.
I use the Alpine Soft Look on a leather hip quiver adapter and it's quiet as hell! Don't see why it would be different mounted to a bow!
I use a Thunderhorn Small Fry sidewinder for that. I think they don't come any better. Craftmanship all the way. It holds max 4 arrows, with one arrow holder located a bit different, for an arrow with a different point. You could use that holder for a judo point i.e. You can see that special arrow gripper on the 2nd pic. It is rock solid, they make it in any color combination you like, just e- mail a pic of your bow to match colors. Delivery time is very fast, even for customized colors. You can even get laser engraving if you want and snake skin.
They are about the nicest people you can deal with.
You can also order all the small parts apart, so you can always rebuild it to a strap-on or one using the limb bolts in a later stage if you want to.

I would wonder if the Bateman quiver would make noise with only one point of contact on riser. Many years ago I remember that style quiver used on compounds. The shop owner used to cut the bar off and mount the hood and gripper section to the limb mounts. Seems the quiver with arrows would rattle when the bow was shot.

Yep...
shot a kwikee 6 arrow quiver for a while...i wrapped the hood in the leather to make it nicer. it vibrates and makes some noise when i shoot it but not too bad..i still have it but have switched to the regular clamp on 4 arrow quiver now but havent had a chance to shoot it...i only carry four arrows any way so its not a big deal.

I thought about that too, the noise factor, and I am wanting to shoot a quiver on the bow, not a quiver that goes to the stand and comes off the bow. Looking for a quiet quiver for sure.
Anyone shoot one of these? The Alpine Soft Loc? The quiver was mentioned earlier in the thread and a buddy of mine said they are QUIET when shooting.

Used to shoot an Alpine Softloc back in my wheelie days. Very quiet quiver. The only complaint about the Softloc quiver used for traditional is the hood is not deep enough to cover the blades on some of the broadheads. People are gluing another piece of foam on the quiver to extend it.

Playing with a curve a bit since December. I have never really seriously hunted with a recurve, only here and there over the years. Always shot the longbow. I had some luck in December in San Angelo. My first big game animal with a recurve!

On a DAS or Warfed bow, they work great. Quiet and easy to get on and off.
