I just found a nice pair of German heavy wool pants for a real bargain. They are light gray. I'd like to be able to dye them to make them more brown. Any suggestions on odorless dyes for wool?
I'm sure the light gray would be fine for hunting, but this is more just a personal preference issue.
Thanks!
Lots of folks say Rit dyes.

Tubbs... If you don't mind, Where did you buy your wool pants?
Tsalt- Fleet Farm here in Wisconsin (Stevens Point store). $12. Couldn't believe it. Not the heaviest wool in the world but pretty decent...
By the way I started using just some markers tonight to put a Winona-type/KUIU Vias type pattern on and they are looking pretty good if I do say so myself. For the price I thought I'd experiment a little. I know markers stink, but I think after a couple of washes they'll be fine. Plus the Do-it-yourself camo is eminently fun and rewarding!
Cool! Post a pic when your done.
Watching this...yes, please post pics. I have been looking at this fabric spray paint called Simply Spray I believe. A pair of light gray wool pants with an ASAT or Predator type pattern in black/brown sprayed on would be awesome. Anyone use this product or similar?
So here is my progress so far...pretty happy at this point. All using permanent marker. I'll probably have to go over everything again with a "second coat," but so far so good.

That looks really good! Can you do a pair for me? Just Kidding! Nice work.
Sweet! They look awesome!! Good work.
That looks really good.
I don't worry about it. I have several pair that color and some the olive green US military wool color and I just wear them as they are. They blend in well enough as they are with the wool absorbing light, especially if you are in any kind of shade or shadows.
Those are nice pants... I would wear those to church... :D
