Title: seeking advice on these two quivers
Post by: Aggieland on January 19, 2014, 10:52:00 PM
I have narrowed my quiver choices down to these two strap on quivers. In your opinion which has the best most secure strap on method? Also will either of these quivers hold victory VAP arrows tight? Would like a 3 or 4 arrow model. Thanks for any advice.
Eagle's flight mini 3 or 4 arrow strap on or the Thunderhorn Boa strap on.

I have the Thunderhorn and like it, I have not tried the Eagles Flight. I have tried GN, Selway and Kanati and liked the THorn better.

I have tried the EFA, and had absolutely no complaints. It was a 3 arrow mini.

For VAP arrows, you may need something similar to these "snuggers", which Duane sells. I've made my own in the past...

I have one of each-a 4 arrow Boa and a 4 arrow Chief. Both are very good- look nice and made with a high level of craftsmenship, either will serve you well, but I prefer the EFA quiver. It is lighter and little more compact, as the arrows are circularly stored as opposed to straight line and mainly because Mr.& Mrs. Ward make the EFAs right here in NC in a shop behind his house. You won't go wrong with either one.

Thanks panhead, I was thinking the rounded head would probably be more compact. Anyone have a side by side comparison of the 3 & 4 arrow models?

Bump for more preferences.

I've tried both, I prefer how the arrows sit in the T-horn.  I also think the EFA needs the kickback option which adds expense.

I've had both. Both are good choices. That said, I put a thunderhorn on since I shoot woodsmen heads and like the longer and thicker TH hood. Also, I do not like to shoot with a quiver attached to my bow but need to use it due to my hunting setups.  I used the TH last year on my recurve and this year on my longbow.  No problems but it does creep and I have to check after dozen or so shots.

Great info. Sounds like its a tuff choice for sure. Also I decided to shoot the centaur big game broadhead so this might tip the scales towards the thunderhorns larger hood.

I use a EFA 3 arrow mini that I really like. I have shot hundreds of arrows since the day I put it on my bow and it has stayed very secure,I have never had to readjust it
