Title: FF or B-50 on a 2011 Bear Grizzly?
Post by: Stealth78 on January 19, 2014, 09:37:00 PM
Hello good people.

A quick question that I realize is hotly debated:
If I bought a new SBD Padded loop D-10 to fit this Grizzly I am getting, would I run a risk of damaging the bow? I see on bears website they include a dacron string on the Grizzly, but on the super grizzly they include a FF.

Is this a marketing ploy for me to buy a super?
Or will my safety be compromised by using a FF?

God Bless.

Contact Bear. It is my understanding the Grizzly's come with B50 for a reason but the guys who built it are the best ones to ask when it comes to warranty info.

BigJim here sells them. You might ask him.

I believe the Grizzly does not have tip overlays and uses a dacron string. The Super Grizzly has tip overlays and can use a FF type string.

That is a good idea Bud, I will do both.

You are right JRY the super does have the overlays that the grizzly lacks, I'm curious if in reality the Grizzly could withstand a more limited stretching string...

Thank you both

Just looked at the 3Rivers catalog. For the Grizzly it states No Fast Flight.

the super griz is fast flite, but the griz is not. use fast fligt on the "Griz" at your own risk....course we'll always sell you another  :)
