Title: shooting glove for deep hooks?
Post by: TURKEYFOOTGIRL on January 19, 2014, 08:37:00 PM
I shoot with a two under style and put the string between on the meat between my first and second joints.  I currently shoot with a super glove( I think) and my string rests behind the padded part of the glove. Which glove had a long reinforced tip? What's a good glove and where's a good sponsor to get it?  P.s. I hate tabs

PDQ super glove would be worth a try. You can order one from Black Widow. I use the un -reinforced one with a deep hook and it works great.

Correction what I use is the dura glove. And thee string rests behind the cordura. Will check it out Echo.

I too often hunt 2 under, deep hook...the glove I prefer is one I bought about 5 years ago, marketed by Martin Archery, and tagged Made in Germany...it is very similar to a glove I have from Bearpaw but the tip reinforcement leather is enough longer to make the difference you refer to so that the string rests on the reinforced portion...in warmer weather I use a two under tab made by turning an opposite hand Cavalier Elite tab upside down and then cutting off what I do not need

Look at the stick tite from Black Widow.  Durable leather and long finger stalls.

The Barta glove will fit the bill if you cut the sewn in fingertip material out. That's what I did w/ mine. Gives you great string feel but the leather is a bit grippy.

I would also recommend the 'stick tite' from Black Widow.  Just ordered one last month - and am very impressed with it.

The Black Widow PDQ glove - it is the same as the PDQ Super Glove without the extra material overlay. The Super Glove is hard to get a deep hook for me, It wants to stop due to the overlays. I have tried the Stick-tite glove as well, I do not care for the leather between my fingers but the finger stalls are the same material.

I'm also a fan of BW stick-tite (without the nylon stalls) priced right too!
