what is a longbow quiver that will not slip, and what about slide on.The only slide on I found was the Selway ?
I like the Great Northern stap on quiver. I haven't tried ALL the others and don't feel that I need to. It works and suits my needs.
x2 on the great northern
Great northern hands down :)
EFA and Northern are great quivers. I use both. As far as slippage the GN is probably better with the rubber straps.
Great Northern for me too!

It would be hard to beat a Great Northern.

Big Jim makes a very good strap on that works for me and is reasonably priced to boot.
Another vote for great northern. Looks great, grips solid, and takes a little vibration out of the bow too.
I guess I am not alone with my feelings toward the great Northern.
I like both....but EFA can be slightly smaller and lighter which is nice if shooting a short LB
i prefer the Sellway myself. i like the rounded top much better. It slides through the brush easier than the square top ones do.
I have a Kanati that's real solid, has never slipped and adds mass to the bow, making it quieter and more stable. Only one I've owned so I can't compare.
I have 2 slide on Selway bow quivers and 1 strap on Thunderhorn bow quiver.
I just ordered (today) another Selway slide on to replace my Thunderhorn strap on.
I've been thinking about it for a while and this post was a reminder to me.
I changed because I can't stop the Thunderhorn from sliding down no matter how high up on the riser I install it or how tight I bind the straps. In fact, the hole on the straps are stretched so much that i'ts a wonder they don't tear.
I was considering trying a Great Northern, but I don't really like the look of a strap on, especially that particular model.
I had a Selway slide on model on my Bear Montana longbow and it worked great. No slippage at all.
Tried most of them out there and agree GN are hands down the best!
I prefer the Thunderhorn myself. It straps on securely and looks great
The Selway is a great quiver, good looking, very functional, rock solid, will never slide on you. He makes the slide on,which I prefer and a great strap on now too that works great...check it out on his site. Gordy is a great guy too...family run business...USA...stands behind his product. The only drawback to the slide on is if you want to take it off when you get to a stand or something.
Great Northern tough to beat...
If you order one get the deeper hood...
Nocking Point great sponsor to gettem at...
Great Northern
Pleased with my GN as well.
Thunderhorn will not slip and I think they look better. Just my opinion,
I like the linx thunderhorn,i think it looks the best and other than the selway slide on it looks like it will not slip.i have a 4 arrow strap on made by easter I think and it slips.thanks everyone
Selway for me
Another vote here for the EFA quivers. Very lightweight and stable, which I like on a LB
I like light weight. EFA for me with no problems.
I like the Thunderhorn. Roy
The Great Northern has worked best for me.
I had the two different bow quivers, the two piece types without a rod tying them together, slip down the limbs exposing all of the broadheads. Both were during falls in the mountains, one while on a sheep hunt in the rain, the other while chasing elk in the snow. I have taken a lot of similar falls with a Great Northern on the bow and not have any broadhead exposed; broken some arrows, but no exposed broadheads.
My Selway slide-on, mounted on a NM Baraga.
Recommend you match quiver to limb diameter,
prior to ordering. (//%5Burl=http://imgur.com/iZ2YqII%5D%20%5Bimg%5Dhttp://i.imgur.com/iZ2YqII.jpg) [/IMG]
Yes, it is a Leftie!
Great Northern
For me it is Selway Quick Detach Quiver love it.
If You prefer small ones, Mini-boa from 3rivers, would be great choice.
For me my selway works great.
Between the quiver and the limbs i roll over a bycicle airhose from the tyres, no moving again.. Works also great on woodhandles in wet conditions for a better grip.
Lot cheaper than other products. And it protects the limbs from ugly spots from the quiver, and you can cut it how you need it.
I have a Great Northern and a Big Jims and they both work great for me.
I personally love my kanati, can't believe more people haven't been chiming in on these! Light weight, quite and durable. The customer service is excellent as well. Give one a try..
Selway, mine hasn't been off my bow in years
All of the ones mentioned are really great quivers and I have owned all of them save for the Thunderhorn.
Currently I own a Great Northern, an EFA, and a Kanati Pro.
My favorite is the Kanati. It's sturdy and well made and stays where you put it, not to mention it looks great as well.
I had a Selway and a Great Northern and used both on my Pronghorn longbows. My strong preference is for a 4 or 5 arrow Selway, which is what I still use.
