I did a search and couldn't find much. Wondering how a 29" draw would work out with a 60" PL? Waiting until Mon. for an answer from BW. Thought I'd thro it out here for some insight.
Thanks
In the catalog, a 60" is recommended for up to a 27" draw length. You may get into some stacking trying to draw that to 29.
A 62" hits the top of the recommended range at 29".
I have a 64" and it is GREAT to 30" for me and recommended to 31".
Take their recommendation I don't think you will be sorry. Any reason you want to go so short? IF you need that short, maybe a recurve should be considered.

I think it may be alittle short for your draw length at 60".The Black Widow PL is a great bow but doesn't have a forward handle like Super Shrew,Kanati and some others to accomadate a longer draw in a shorter bow.I have a 64" PLX and draw 27",and love the way it shoots and smooth draw.I've shot my buddies 62" PLX,it shoots fine too with my draw length.I love my 64" PLX though,it has become one of my favorite longbows!
They pretty much covered it above. I have a 64" PLGA, a 29" draw and love it!
I am shooting a PLIII 60"@28" draw with no issues.
I draw 29 and the 62" was perfect... unfortunately it wasn't mine and he wouldn't sell it!!!
I've owned several 62" PL's and draw 29. Really no issues. Then I shot a 64 at bear camp and will now be ordering a 64". Just felt much smoother.
When I ordered mine, I asked if a 64" would be the best bet and I was told that a 64" would work just fine for me (29.5" draw), but a 66" might be smoother.... I got the 66 and LOVE it!
Good luck

Dave, I have 66" and she is very easy to shoot at my 29" draw. I did all of my hunting with it this past season, I never wished that she was any shorter. I had my best ever trad season with my PLX. Good luck!
David, from the posts I've seen from you over the years, I can tell that you're not passively into trad bows... you're in, whole-hog!
That being said, I think you'd be disappointed with a 60" PL. You know what "smooth" means, and I think you'd feel it tighten up on you as you get to full draw. A newby might just get used to it... but you would know better.
Just my 2 cents...

You are prolly right. I love the LB design over everything but hate the length of them. Yes I've tried the short forward handle ones, just not the same.
davey, Black Widow will recommend a 64"er . Guaranteed. Just call John or Roger at Widow.Even with my PSAIII with my 27" draw they recommended a 58"er. They like you to be around center of their recommended bow length /draw lengths. When I had my PLV I ordered a longer length than necessary.I ordered a 64"er. I should have ordered a 62"er would have been perfect for me. I would go with The Toby Grip next time, but that's just me.

Agree on the Toby grip. I've had 62", 64", 66" models in the past. All shot fine for me. Actually have a T/D 64" now. Got this personal hang up on the length.
I draw 29" and prefer my 62".
It's the shortest I can go in the PL.
Nothing shorter than 64" for me. I've had three 64" and one 66" PL's...If I got another i would get a 66" and I draw about 28"....I've shot 60" and 62" and would not buy one. Shorter than 64" and you will feel it stacking...But thats just me....
I disagree about a 64" Widow PL longbow stacking at 28" of draw. I draw just under 31" and had a 64" PL that shot just fine for me, with no considerable stacking. I kept my 66" because I like the woods and the weight, and prefer a longer bow.
That's been my experience too with the 64". When I really pour on the back tension I can hit 30" of draw length. My old 64" just kept drawing smooth.
I've seen the force draw curve graph of a 62" no stack till 30" according to the graph.
