Driving through a small town near where I work today, I saw a sign for a yard sale. It said "hunting and fishing gear" on the sign and, even though I usually ignore these, I decided to swing in and see if I might find one of those rediculously trad bow deals I always hear about on here. Well, no luck there except for a busted up PSE TD with a delaminates limb, but he did have a couple other things that caught my eye. First is a Neet leathe back quiver. Not a high end quiver, but I didn't have one yet and even this cheap model is still around $65 new and from looking at the inside of the leather and the foam in the bottom, I don't there's ever been an arrow in this one. He also had a box full of used broadheads. I dug around in it (very carefully) and amongst all of the expandables, broken blades, and old cheap three blades, I found 5 Simmons Original Interceptors and a small box containing 7 Simmons bleeder blades. They have some light rust on the sharpened edges but don't look like they have ever been shot. A little resharpening should take care of the rust. And my grand total for the visit came up to $15. I'm going to check with a game warden that lives in my home town to make sure I can legally use these since they are considered to be "barbed". Can't find anything in our reg manual about barbed heads but I want to make sure. Here's a pic of my $15 shopping spree.

Looks like a mighty fine deal to me!
Nice job! you'll have to let us know how that quiver works for you, i've looked at 'em online, and been considering one. Looks good!
Nice, good deal!
I'll update on the quiver, but since I've never used a back quiver before, I'm not sure that I can give a fair review.
On the broadheads, I'm currently shooting a 150 gr head on a 60-70 carbon arrow from a 53# bow. These are 190 gr. how hard do you guys think it'll be to get these to tune? I'm hoping that the stiff carbon arrows won't be too picky and will shoot the heavier heads without too much trouble.
:archer: SCORE!! my wife always hollers at me for stopping at yard sales. I got a nice Mckenzie deer a couple years back for 15 bucks. I was laughing my arse off loading it into the truck. I do like a good bargain. Congrats Matt, you did real good. rat'
Great steal there ..CONGRATS!
I think you did good!
Cant help you with the tuning but say try a few shots, see what happens.
Looks good to me!
you did great
Shot the broadheads this evening. Flew straight and hit right where the 150s hit out to 15 yards despite being 40 gr heavier. I don't shoot much past that anyway and that is my absolute max on a deer right now.
Matt Toms
I'd say you did good!

I got them cleaned up and sharpened last night. Need to do a little more stropping after work today. If I find out that I can't use barbed heads here, I'll send them to you for free.
Matt
Pretty good find I would say.
I wish I could come across deals like that
Great Deal!
