Have you read the "New To Trad Archery" information on the Pow Wow page?

No sir sure haven't. I call myself checking for it just after reading your post but can't locate it but I will continue to try.
Look above, right under the trad gang store.
And check out Maddog bows.
I had two Samick Trailblazers. One 35# and one 45#. The bows are actually very nice looking for the price. The 35# was a pleasure to shoot. However, the hand shock from the 45# would rattle the fillings in your teeth, so much so that I rarely shot more than a few dozen thru at at one time.
Welcome to TradGang!! You wont find a Better Group of Traditional Archery Folks ANYWHERE!! :campfire:
Hayneda,
That hand shock could be a brace height or arrow weight problem. May need to play around with the brace height and try a heavier arrow. Could be the arrows were fine for the 35# but too light for the 45# bow. Could try a heavier point on the same arrow and see if it gets any better.

ive never shot the trailblazer longbow but i do shoot a 55# sage as my go to bow...the sage isnt the prettiest but it shoots with the best of them and packs a good punch in my own opinion. Welcome to tradgang; the people here are good and friendly and wont steer ya wrong!! :)
I own a samick red stag. The quality on a samick I feel is a crap shoot. I love that bow because it was my first but, I'm going to have to take a file to the riser if I ever want it to shoot as good as it should.don't really want to explain why but im just saying. Some people swear by the sage though. I looked up your bow and unless your buying it used I would think hard about buying a used Hill or something. I've seen used Hills go for less than 300 and if you don't like it you could get your money back. Used bear Montana might be better too.
Thanks for the advice from all. Going to do some thinking. This is a great site enjoying it.
