I went for a stroll through the woods and just before dark wound up at a tree with a stand in it. About 15-20 yards away was a feeder hanging from a limb. I decided to crawl up and stay for a bit. Right at DARK a few pigs came in and I decided to shoot the spotted one as those spots gave me something to look at while trying to aim!
He'll make good BBQ ..

You're a killin machine, Pat. Congrats.
Pat...you are the apex predator of Texas.
The revelations of your continued and consistent success should spill over to those of us that sometimes question the possible.
Many thanks and much appreciation for including us on your hunts even when the outcome is less than desirable.
Fine harvest!!!

I think if you donated HALF of the pigs you kill to "Hunters for the Hungry" or some other such organization, you could single-handedly stamp out hunger in Texas! In other words, WOW you kill a lot of pigs! Congrats on another fine one!!

The bow is a northern mist Shelton.. I just happened to weigh it yesterday, it is 63 lbs @ my draw length of 29".. And it is really a bit over my comfort zone but it sure throws an arrow well!
Good Job Pat, thanks for sharing another great story with us.
Big enough, good shooting!

I was wondering, if anybody ever tanned one for a throw rug, or at least a door mat.
could you imagine running your toes through that hair while sitting in your favorite chair.

I did hit a tad high, and as Ben pointed out it was a pretty short tracking job --- like right there !! Picked up a bit of spine..
Nice shot placement  congratulations
Great lookin' pig! Congrats on that one.
Way to go Pat!
Sounds like a nice stroll in the woods to me.
NICE!! You never disappoint! When I see a new thread by Pat B. I know it ain't gonna be about another pretty bow. True hunter.
Someone pointed out that it sounded like I stumbled up on someone elses stand and decided to hunt it.. And it did sound that way..
Just wanted to clarify that I knew exactly where I was going, it was one of my stands. I would never hijack or pirate someone elses property, of any kind. I have enjoyed life being honest and conducting myself with integrety and I'm too old to change now!
