don't call it husker anything, folks will call you for football tickets. name it after the closest river.
Yeah trad bows. Need to find a name I really like and want to stick with so I can get a website built and be a sponsor on here.
Nice Aska Inc. is pretty funny Goober.
You have a great historical river flowing through your state...the Platte
How about "Platte River Trophy Bows".
Cory - I'm not sure about a name, but I could help you out if you're looking for a handsome model.

I agree it's got a nice yet simple ring to it.
Or play with it a little something like "HCB" "Heartland Custom Bows"
Ahh I like "The Heartland Bowyer"
Your business is sure to sky rocket with mug like Johns modeling for you hahaha.
Sorry John, Bigfoot is already taken!
Nebraska's state animal is the whitetail deer - I like that but that's pretty well used.
How about the bird? Meadowlark Bows. Meadowlark Archery.
This thread has gotten out of hand. :biglaugh:
What is your product?
Matty,
Gonna be longbows and recurves.
"Heartland bows"
"Heartland archery"
How clever do you want to be. You're gonna get a flood of responses to say the least
Want to be some what clever, but not so much that people forget the minute they walk away. Although, if my bows are worth remembering they will remember any name.

X2. Sounds good to me.
Heartland Bows is a good name. For a tag line, motto, whatever you want to call it maybe...
"We Put Our Heart Into Every Bow We Build."
"For Those Who Put Their Heart Into Hunting"
"Get To The Heart of the Hunt"
Can you show us pictures of the bows or tell us a bit about them. One piece, takedown, recurve, longbow ect.

That's some good stuff there! I like it!
Michael, here are a couple pics. Longbows are a forward handle design in both take down and 1 piece. Recurve will be a forward handle design also in the 1 piece and the take down will be a forward limb design. Motto : We buildem' , You bendem'
heartland for me-
everyone already recognizes your handle!
Heartland Custom Bows
We build them one beat at a time
How about
"Grips"
"Holding on to past"
Or
Grips
Never letting Go
"Heart Breaker Traditional Bows" Seems that's what we all "Aim" at an want our arrow to do is "Break a Heart" or even "Heart Stopper" :dunno: :D
How about Coldwood Bows, named after this winter. Or better yet Spring Time Archery. Just a thought. MIKE
Back strap bows.
Ogallala bows.
river bottom bows
long river bows
Tradland Custom Bows, or Tradlan Custom Bows
(I also like Heartland Bow Works)

are there any specific creeks, rivers, landforms, etc that your shop will be near or that you like to hunt? That always makes for a good story in a name.
for instance, not sure which part of nebraska you're in, but "sandhills archery" would work for north central NE :)
here's my .02 worth ... Lakota OR Pawnee Bows...or One Nation Bows....like One Nation Bows the best though....
Heartland Traditions. .02 worth.
OR
Wind Swept Traditions. Motto...."I freeze my buns off all winter so you can shoot the rest of the year"!
Sorry! Had to make some sort of attempt at humor.
Tim
I'd go with a name that has special meaning to you. A place, landmark... Something that tells a story that you want to share and be associate with. Lot's of cool places in Nebraska. You might want to do a search to make sure a website domain name is available for what you choose.
Cheers,
KSPete
Platte River Archery and then name all your bow models after rivers. Or call it Heartland custom Bows
I like either one of those Bud
I like Platte River Custom Bows--always have liked bows named after rivers for some reason.
Gotta say I like the river names, Heartland Custom Bows is cool, too.
How about Cripple Creek Bows or Thunder Bows
Heartland Custom Bows
we build them one beat at a time
from our heart to yours. or visa versa
Husker Bows
God bless, Steve
Heartland Bows
"Blending passion and tradition"
I kinda like "Elkhorn River Longbows" myself, sir.

This is a good one also
Engert's Custom Styks - ECS
How about "Autumn Affair Archery"
You could name the models after the months of the year. Get twelve models and you could have a sexy bow calendar.

I'm not a model like jsweka so just a picture of the bow. Dave
Bleeding Heart Archery-Liberal on quality, Conservative on price.
River Bend Bows
i do like that mojo...very good. :biglaugh:
in fact i think that is the cleverest name i have seen!
great tie in with the archery/bleeding heart, and his current name.
and the kind of humor that all trad archers might like- as long as its true- quality no problem- seen his bows...
so does the winner get a bow :D :D ,
and if we agree/support the winner we get two bows??... im still going with mojo on this!
Lot's of good ideas so far... one suggestion is I would keep the word "Bow" out of the name. It limits your new business options later on ...
Just like it wasn't Bear Bow Inc. or Martin Bow Co. is was Bear Archery and Martin Archery.
Now you may only want to build bows, which is all fine, but you never know.
my 2 cents...good luck and hope you make a million...
corn fed n dead bow shop. ha just kidding

Yep, this here is good advice!
How about SAND HILLS Archery ?
Corn-Fed Archery Stick bows for Thick bros. You're welcome.
Heartland Bows with model names that further reflect your region
Rivers for Recurves (like that alliteration?)- Platte River Recurve, Missouri River Recurve, etc.
Cities for Longbows-Lincoln Longbow, Kearney Longbow, etc.
Just steer clear of Broken Bow Longbow!
Engert's Traditional Archery - 'ETA'
Your work will elicit credibility to the name.
'Wow', he is shooting an 'Engert'.
I like the idea Stumpkiller had about the Meadowlark... but what about Nebraska's other emblems?
Flower - The Goldenrod
Goldenrod Archery
or
Fossil - Mammoth
Mammoth Archery
You guys are giving me a lot great ideas, I appreciate it a lot.
Probably gonna stay away from Husker anything since the usually fold when any pressure gets put on them.
Cory
Heartland custom Archery
At the Heart of Tradition
Bow models could include: Pacemaker
Transfusion
Bloodline
Heart Stopper
"Heart Ripper" Traditional Archery Gear
Cory :biglaugh:
Especially when our gophers play them.
You should come to the coon rapids shoot in June.
How about "Shaman Archery".....unleash the magic within! I named my first custom recurve Shaman, I took my first bear with it and some whitetails, sold it to my brother, he killed tons of stuff with it and has now joined me in the longbow love so he gave the bow to my oldest son......good medicine
Heartland Archery is a great name for the business. I like Passthru custom bows too
