Hi All, can anyone tell me what the whitest wood available for bow limbs is and post some pics for me? Thanks
White glass............umm, nevermind, you said wood!
Bisch
I have seen birch, looks great but not sure if recommended?
White actionboo.
Maple
Myrtle.
holly
If you can get holly veneers, they would be the whitest. At least that's what they mostly use for intarsia wood pictures where they want a flat, white wood with little to no grain.
Curly Maple or Curly Ash both tend to be rather white, albeit way too white for my tastes.
Bill
Holly or Birch. Both can also be bleached (Chlorox)to get an even whiter look.

Here is some honey locust I'm working on now probably will finish pretty near maple or birch tone maybe a tad darker with a bit more heart wood sap wood variation. Newer used holly so not sure about finish color of that. Action boo would be pretty light too.
Light wood fan of have something else in mind?
Cory
Some black and white ebony is almost all white. Very white color.
Anigre unstained is very white I do believe. Had a black creek long bow that is olive wood. that bow is extremely light in color
