Title: Last chance!
Post by: Jake Scott on January 02, 2014, 09:43:00 AM
Well gents, the fat lady hasn't sung just yet.  I am headed out late tonight for one last deer hunt in Tennessee.  I thought my season was over, but one last chance has presented itself.  I am still in pursuit of my first trad harvest, so wish me luck!!!

Get ya one! I'm not sure where you're hunting at in TN but everyone I know have been seeing deer this week. Myself included.

Matthew,
I hunt on a lease I share with my family in Dover, a little outside of Clarksville.  This is a special hunt, my fiancĂ©e is hitting the woods with me for the first time ever.  I will keep you guys updated, and I truly appreciate the encouragement.

Well guys, bad weather prevented me from seeing much.  Temps in the teens and high winds had them hunkered down.  I was able to spend time in the woods with my fiancĂ©, who was a trooper in the awful weather.  I can't thank you enough for all the kind words throughout my first all trad season.  No deer on the ground, but many amazing opportunities.  I've got a lot of practicing and studying to do for spring turkey season, and lord willing, a DIY elk hunt in Oregon this coming fall.  Once again, THANK YOU TRADGANG!!!!
