I thought about going years ago but, didn't think I could afford it.  I bet in the long run you will save money by getting further along the learning curve much faster and, with fewer failures.  Mike is certainly one of the masters and being able to pick his brain would be very valuable if not priceless. I envy you sir.

Was just there a couple weeks ago not for the bow building course but to put down a deposit on a new bow.
He has a great shop , custom presses  definitely knows his stuff.
I was very impressed with his work. His bows are truly custom no mass produced CNC bang em out bows. When you touch his bows you can feel the difference . Attention to detail that you can't get from mass production.  I am not one to beat a drum ,and I have nothing to gain for saying this .It's just the truth!
Oh and he's quit a character to boot.  I am glad I made the decision  to go with him.  I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Mike is a very accomplished and well rounded archery professional-and not just building bows, he is a well respected coach and his students have won national and international titles; Mike has given lessons to Juan Carlos, King of Spain.

Thanks for all the advice. Now I won't be able to sleep until I get there! I know I can learn a ton of info.
My only fear is that the weather here in So. Utah has been around 70 deg. last week. I may freeze to death in Philly.
