I'm a fan of Waterfall Ash or Tamo Ash. Had a RER that was beautiful and still have a Holm-Made by Chad Holm, both had Ash lams. I have seen some Myrtle that is pretty cool! To many choices.....

I just received my coyote from South last week . I ordered some amazing looking cocbolo from his custom page. I don't know how to post pics yet but I would talk with South he might have what you are looking for. South builds some awesome bows     my veneers are in the back of his catalogue , they are the ones in the middle picture.

Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder...some like dark veneers like my bocote RER...some like light veneers like my myrtle Robertson...in many cases the character of veneers is tough to capture in pictures...I finally gave up trying to take pictures of either of those bows...probably the best pictures I have seen are on the Blacktail website

I too have had a bow built with Idahocurt's veneers. Mine was myrtle on a Schafer curve.

my vote for idahocurt and whoever Dan Toelke gets his from.  Leon Stewart gets his from Sauer's and they have quite a nice selection.

Ron W,  "I'm a fan of Waterfall Ash or Tamo Ash."

Wait 'til you see my RER LXR I'm getting the end of January at the K'zoo Expo. Kevin showed me the cocobolo he is saving for my riser with a waterfall ash crescent and waterfall ash veneers. Would you believe I'm getting excited?

What are the riser woods?  What ever you are making the riser from might influence the limb veneers you want.

If your bowyer is willing to work with wood you provide, it can be fun to search for your own.  You might have to wait for the wood to dry to the right moisture content since wood is often sold wetter than they like, but at least that way you know exactly what you are getting.

I'm having a Silvertip made with a nice piece of cocobolo for the riser and some really nice koa for the limbs, both found by myself on the internet.  It was fun looking for it and it kind of makes me feel more involved in the build process.

Cocobolo and yew.  Cocobolo and olive ash.  Cocobolo and Zebra wood.  Cocobolo and koa.  Cocobolo and Tamo ash.  Cocobolo and myrtle.

Or, swap out the cocobolo in the above combinations with Snakewood
