I am looking to replace my Gold Tips. After breaking 3 in 3 days. I shot the old MFX and they lasted forever. What do you guys like as far as the new shafts? Who has shot both to compare durability? Thanks. BILL

I have both shafts. The axis are a tad bit more gpi and smaller diameter. But the centershots are cheaper price wise

I like the Axis Trads best. I haven't tried the Bemans but I was a die-hard MFX fan. However, the Axis Trads have a more durable finish. I have yet to chip the finish and I chipped MFX shaft finishes from time to time. It is my guess that the Beman Centershot is the same finish as MFX.

The Beman Centershots are great. I have been using them ever since they hit the market. They have been shot into everything and I have yet to break one.
My .500 Centershot arrows are cut to 29" BOP using the 50 grain brass insert and 175 grain point. They finish out at 496 grains. I believe the Centershots are ~$20 less than the Axis in price.

Both great, Axis trads a few tenths more gpi and hidden insert. Centershots a little larger diameter and standard insert. I love the axis trads cause they're just like the MFX but I have grown quite fond of the Centershots due to the price.

Just got a dozen the other day, haven't had a chance to shoot them yet. Think I'm going to like the little bigger shaft. Been shooting Axis for years, but the price of the new ones seems a tad steep.

The only real problem with both sets of arrows. Easton could have done a better job with the durability of the finish.

400 0r 340? for a 59# Whippenstick at my 30 inch draw. 31 inch arrow with a 200 grain point? Thanks. BILL
