I may be incorrect. But I will give it a shot.
I believe it is a 1977.
I think KZ is 1970, KY is 1971 KX is 1972 etc. is how the serial#'s go.
After 1972 the pat date of 1953 was removed.
Brass coin in 1970
1971-1972 were silver coins
After 1972 the coins were raised
1978 manufacturing was in Gainsville Florida
I believe he's got it pegged at 1977. I have one just like it but 55#, KR series and everything just a few thousand up in serial number than yours.
Thanks for the information! Greatly appreciated!
Good looking bow Buddy.
Did the string arrive for it?
StickSlinger74,
The KR Grizzly serial number started in 1970 and ran until sometime in late 76 or 77 when it was replaced with a GR serial number. The 1973-77 models were dual color futurewood such as yours. The 76 and 77 model would have come with a Bear weather rest. The rest and strike plate appear to have been replaced on yours so it would be hard to tell if yours was pre or post 76.

The bow didn't have a rest on it when I got it. Only the glue residue on the shelf and strike plate. Thanks for the info! This is all great stuff!
