Finally saw some deer! Had several come in this evening including a doe and her fawns (the doe busted me) but no biggie. Also had a button head come in, his head got behind a tree, I drew, anchored... And shot right over his back into a tree!!! How is it possible to feel on top of the world by seeing several deer, and getting a shot... But at the same time feeling the soul crushing agony of a miss when you've been in a slump for a few years now. Man what a sport we partake in!
It is all about the adrenaline rush. Everything else is a bonus, and work LOL
Yeah, missing sucks......but hitting one bad and not finding it sucks the most!

Yup, I'll take a clean miss over a bad hit any day. It's all good, it was a rush, and I was "that" close to ending my drought. But hey it'll come in time. Think I'll try again in the am.
Gotta take the good with the bad, nothing better than what we do!
You sure he did not "duck the string" causing the miss? :archer2:

He certainly loaded to get outta dodge pretty quick, but I don't know its hard to say.
I agree with ishoot4thrills, hit a doe high this season and spent lots of time tracking. Going to be putting lots of time improving my shooting routine so it doesn't happen again. Stay with it tradarcher, I sure many on this site have felt the same HI's and LOW's, best of luck if your season is still underway.
