Title: Green Super Kodiak
Post by: acollins on December 23, 2013, 07:35:00 PM
Did Bear make a Super Kodiak in all green like in the picture. The picture is a Kodiak. I am wanting something longer, than the Kodiak.

To my knowledge, Bear never made a "greenie" super kodiak. The one in the pic is either a kodiak magnum or a kodiak hunter. The kodiak magnum AMO is 52" and the kodiak hunter AMO is 60", which is the same length as a super kodiak. The kodiak hunter's are usually easy to find and are a fine bow. The 1st year the hunter was introduced(1967 I think) was the only year it was a 58" bow, every year after that it was a 60" bow.

Thanks for the info. The one in the picture is 52". 60" is what I am looking for. So I will look for the hunter model.

Like Paul said that is a Kodiak Magnum. The super kodiak was never made in the green like the one pictured. But the super Kodiak is also 60" and a fantastic bow.

Yep.  Green Futurewood Kodiak Hunter.  60" AMO.

Second one down on the rack.

I've got two K-mags.  My '73 looks exactly like the first photo.  They are spectacular shooters and draw baby smooth.

Even the 58" green Grizzly is a looker that performs very well too.
