Check this one out.
I was looking through that post but can't find a link to the bowyer if somebody could help. That is the kind of "super Kodiak" I'm looking for!
Sorry to tell you but Big River Bows doesn't have a 'link'. John McDonald doesn't do computers, he just builds bows and at 84 or 85 I guess he can do things his own way if he wants
oops, I should have read all the post. I was going to mention Rose Oak.
Vintage Works makes a very nice replica of the Super Kodiak. Good Vintage works bows. Ken
That should have read Google Vintage Works bows. Sorry. Ken
I don't see on Vintage Works page where they do Super Kodiaks? Regular '59, '62 and '64 Kodiaks but no Super Kodiaks. AM I missing something?
Predator recurves are very similar in design to an SK, not a replica, but very similar .
J.K> Chastain Wapiti Bows Lakewood Colorado. I own two of his take down recurves. Great bows and service. Check out one piece
Wapiti makes one...in fact RMS Gear has one in their line up or did last week...

Then you are not looking for a Super Kodiak.
SKs perform as well as just about any other bow in its category.

Burnsie,
Sorry, the 1964 Kodiak looks like my Super Kodiak. Ken
Jeffrey Owens did make one at a reasonable price.
Not sure if he does anymore. Easy enough to check
John McDonald makes one. Pittsley Predator's made a black handled one with the rosewood caps. I believe the handle was phenolic.
I think trapper meant Owen Jeffreys. :D
I just returned from the Vintage Works website. That 1964 is terrific looking? I like the variations of 58" and the 2-piece.
Anyone know about the 2-piece? I would expect it is solid and once together you wouldn't know it isn't a one-piece?
That black one by Mr. McDonald pictured on this thread is fantastic as well.
2x the predator. I have a hunter model. Great bow.
