First, let me wish everyone here a very Merry Christmas and Happy, Healthy New Years.
I have some time here at work to reflect on this past year and season. I always take off two months to bowhunt but my time this year was very limited. I spent more time at the Albany Medical Center as my little 11 month old grandson, Joey...has cancer.
Along with that, we had to finally put my 99 yr old mother in a home. Not an easy decision but necessary. Tough times, tough decisions but it makes me Thank God for my health and all that we have to be thankful for.
We are making the Holidays the best we can for the rest of the grand kids and keep everyone in our prayers. When sh...** happens and I want to complain...I don't. Little problems mean nothing.
We should all reflect and be very thankful to the Man upstairs for all we have, especially our health which allows us to hit the woods and enjoy the greatest sport....BOWHUNTING. Enjoy the Holidays with your family and friends...Keep The Faith.. :campfire:
The same to you Joe. Sorry to hear about your Grandson and your Mom. Prayers are on the way to you, them, and your family.
I am thankful for every day. It's been nearly 25 years since I almost died during a robbery. One of the two low lifes, when he went to shoot me in the head had his gun jam. He dropped it and when I charged him, they both fled. My life could have ended that day. Never being a Father, Godfather, Uncle, or husband. I thank God each and every day for my life, and blessing me with what I have.
Little stuff happens all the time, the big stuff needs to be dealt with. Don't sweat the small stuff. In the grand scheme of things, there are so many who have so little, or are facing major obstacles.
Believe in the infant child Jesus. May God intercede and hear the prayers. Merry Christmas.

Amen Joe and GOD BLESS YOU.
Very well said Joe. Sometimes it is difficult to see the forest for the trees.
Through these times, it is refreshing to see your generosity to others like Adirondack Ken's young friend.
Thank you for your thoughts on this. I needed to be reminded to be thankful, even when times seem tough. Merry Christmas to all!
Amen and amen. Praying for your grandson.

Also prayers for those heros we should all thank;
Those who defend our country

And those who work to heal 11 month old kids from an undeserved disease.
