Since the first Hunger Games came out we have had a number of guys and girls looking for where they can shoot bows. We get together here in the shop for a round of shooting on Thursday nights. I have enclosed a couple of photos. We are jammed in but they have fun and shoot pretty well.
If you look at the photos you can probably tell that the girls won the contest against the guys. In fact, as often as not, they do win against the guys.
Feel free to comment and post your own photos on here. We need to encourage the kids whenever we can. They are the future of archery and bowhunting.

We have two archery camps every summer and since the Hunger Games we have seen an increase in girls interested in archery and usually we will have one of two girls that really shine.

I have heard that the Hunger Games movies have created a great increase in traditional archery, especially in girls. That is good to hear and your group is part of that move. It sure looks like they are having fun. Congratulations for doing a good thing.
Good job on getting them involved, I'm sure your getting the main blessing from it
Great stuff.
Our 4H archery program started with 4, and we have 12 now in just 6 months. The kids wanting to come overwhelms the number of parents willing to bri g the kids, u fortunately.
My daughters have several friends who have gotten interested in archery since the movie came out. Now I keep a couple of extra youth bows around just in case someone wants to learn.
Thanks for sharing the photos. Good looking bunch, and good on ya for providing the space.
Thanks for the nice comments. I enjoy sharing a sport that has been so much fun for me with the kids and young adults in the area.
Gary and Marc, I wish that you guys did live closer. We also have a Tuesday night session for the more experienced shooters. You would have fun at either one.
Don't forget to post any photos you want to share of anyone having fun with bow and arrow.
