I just got my new thunderchild in the mail from I just got my new thunderchild in the mail from Big Jim today, and it came out beautiful like they always seem to. This is a 2 piece 56" thunderchild with Black and white ebony riser/veneers, bamboo lams and horn tips and overlays, 60#@28". Here are some pics of the bow.

I ordered this bow just to have something a touch heavier than my 50# thunderchild. Not sure which one that I think is more pretty, since he did such a great job on both of them.

I can only hope this new one treats me as well as it's 50# brother. I have had more success with the bow than any of my other trad bows. Here are a few of the critters that I have been lucky enough to introduce to the thunderchild. These thunderchilds make a great hunting bow, and aren't too hard on the eyes either.

Beauty! Heck they are both pretty awesome looking bows! Congrats on the new addition!
Beautiful bows, glad you didn't ask me to vote on which one's the prettiest.
Congrats on the new bow. And it's a lefty!
Good looking bow!!!
both super nice!
Oh my!
I'm calling BS on this whole Big Jim thing...there is no way one guy can turn out so many beautiful bows so fast.
I'm pretty convinced that he's cranking them out at a workshop in the North Pole with a bunch of underpaid elves...
Both beauties - congrats.
Awesome woods!
Wow! That's a beauty!! :archer2:
What no Squirrel pic? Beauty Pat!
Thanks Mike. No pics of squirrels, lol. They can make a high pitched sound that breaks camera lenses. No pics of armadillos or raccons either. Just happy to get the arrows out of them and cleaned up before they drag them into a hole or chew the arrow in half.
Very nice!
Awesome bow!!!! Congrats!!
He is a true R-tist with wood!
Man I am drooling! I can't wait for my name to come up on his list!
awesome bows!!! congrats, what vaneers are those on the 50# er ?
Those are tiger myrtle, and they disappear in the woods when the oak leaves are on the ground.
Congrats they are both beautiful Bow!
Nice Pat. Good luck with it.
Thanks guys. I can't wait to put it to use.
DROOL BRUTHA, very sweet indeed!!! Let's chase some hogs in TX in 2014!!
congrats, that is a looker!
Beautiful bows for sure. That is quite a collection of critterage you've stacked up with that 50 pounder. Those Thunderchilds sure do have bloody spirits!
Both are some stunning bows!
The justification for their popularity is easily ascertained.
Congrats and enjoyed seeing your fine harvests.
